I posted that after his shocking score of 20something, was a little emotional lol

Stephens BE is very low, so yep, if he plays he stays of course

But I'll probably hold anyway, wait a week for McInnes and Preuss
Gotta be logical about it. Stephens scores a 20-something, but the solution is not to bring a guy who has scored 19 already. Put Stephens on the bench for at least this week. You'll make more money than bringing in Driscoll, which is utterly pointless and makes you less money.

I must be one of the only ****ing morons to start Noddy as a ****ing loop.

Now I don’t have a loop.

Now I’ve said the word “loop” too much and it sounds wrong.

Loop.

Loop.

Loop.

Last correction Trades this week to take over a very risky starting team that hasn't paid off as much as I would have liked.
Moving up the ranks 10k each week but may have lost way to many points over top 1000 teams to think about making up ground.

Trades So Far
Week 2 - Crisp > Hewitt : Seems to be a good decision, extra cash has helped. Also kept structure of 5 premo defenders.
Week 3 - Gawn, McGov, Ward > Meek, Heeney, Crisp : 1 Premo down to 2 Up, Only time this season a move like this might be able to be made.
Week 4 - Archie Perk(just not as breakout as I wished maybe should have gone Gresham) + Rochelle > T.Green + Dixon. Pod Risk Trade that a lot might make this week. need to keep pace.

Plans for Week 5 - Possible Pruess and Erasmus in. Out - two of TDG or Stephens or J.Hayes. depends on BE's. Swing English to Fwds.

Focus on upgrading Mids week 6 onwards.
Deal with the mess I have made in rucks later. prob after byes as coverage once Xerri gets dpp looks good.
Rucks of English/Pruess/Meek/Xerri/Rookie Fwd-Ruck may even take me to seasons end.

Plans are to take care of M8 First ( A falling Premo ~500k may fit well) while trying to hold onto as many of Daicos/JHF/Martin/Brodie/Hinge/McCartin as well as hold the 3 mid-pricers of Rowell/Caldwell/Berry for as long as possible. Let the cows moo. then some nice one-up one down upgrades.
Hoping use of 6 correction/upgrade trades early pays off.

Cost of not having a loop has cost points so far but cash gen rules at the Mo.
Jesus ... six trades already? I can't understand why anyone traded Gawn at this stage, just because he had a below average score and some random player had a good game.

You picked your team for a reason. Be conservative.

Strongly considering a sideways of crisp to short...

I mean, I get it, but Crisp has averaged 103 the past two weeks.

I already have Short, and I understand the attraction, but you don't trade a premo who scored 121 the game before last.

It's the kind of trade peeps end up regretting.

At least, I hope you do, because I need Crisp to get his sh1t together lol

Thanks for the reply, any thoughts on who should be traded out?
You’ve got a solid side. Your backline looks pretty solid, so you probably don’t need Bowey (IMO probably left it a week too late to bring him in), but if you wanted to get him in, the one I would trade is McCartin as Hinge is doing surprisingly well.

Mids are good.

Either trade one of your Gawndy pair for English if you want him.

Forward line you’ve got all the required rookies and good premos so no change there.

The spreadsheet and statistical formulas pointed out a bias against being conservative. Conservative was last years flavour but has now lost its taste. This years flavour is risk it all.. go hard or go home...

You start premiums for a reason, right?

I'm gonna cool my heels this week.

Next week I'm going to be 900 bucks short of going Owens > McInnes and it annoys me.

I'll probably end up doing no trades again because of it.

Need a new 117k guy to turn up

Yeh. 69 and 85 isnt ideal though. His new midfield role could be an issue. His tackling is good though.

Average of his last three against the Eagles is 108.

Average of his last three against the Lions is 115.

Trade away mate

The trades threads from round 15 onwards are going to be a ghost town judging by some of the proposed trades in here.
To finish first, first you must finish.

Kents are going crazy, it's only 5 extra trades. I'm going shithouse, but seeing all these trades getting burnt is cheering me right up :moustache:

Totally agree! And you don't dump premiums on the basis of one bad performance. I've seen people consider swapping out Miller because of his 76. FFS, he's averaging 117!

Btw ... have these comments from Brett Ratten been mentioned yet; I confess I haven't read every post. It may be goodbye, Jack Hayes:

"Hayesy didn’t do a lot of ruck work this week. We’ll have a look at that [3 talls] & work out which way we go. It’s great we’ve exposed the taller men to play together."
