Jesus ... six trades already? I can't understand why anyone traded Gawn at this stage, just because he had a below average score and some random player had a good game.

You picked your team for a reason. Be conservative.
For the $. If u traded Gawn for English last weekend you made 80k instantly and another 40k swing projected this week. If you traded to Witts, a bit less but still a decent gain. English outperformed Gawn and Witts wasn't too far behind. Meanwhile that cash could be used to upgrade elsewhere much faster.

Thinking Tom Green is about to become a top 10 midfielder this year. Super elite contested work, tackles, starting to find it in open play and kicking goals. Now with Hopper out for 2 months he should get a fair crack in the middle. Hoping for him to be a POD keeper for the rest of the season.

Saved some cash from last week's trades so thinking Ward to Green. Ward's getting 20 touches and only getting 50 points for those games. Slower burn than Green's price rises.

I spent a trade getting Luke McDonald R1 thinking he might be a cheap defensive keeper getting DPP at R6. After that last performance, I have enough to go him straight to Green for my M5. It means a complete waste of a trade, should have gone straight to Green in R1, but I think he's about as must have as Cripps for his price. Means I don't have to give up on any of the cash cows. I will still have 440k in the bank too, could bring in another mid premo next week if someone like Stephens peters out.

Knowing Leon he'll have Tom Green tagging within a fortnight.

No trades even though I had a shit round, team is decent enough just rookie roulette and captain shit ruined my score
Wish I traded Brodie in though, would avoid me having to field one of Rachele, Hayes & Durdin have picked the wrong one every round so far lol
Probably one less for us to worry about next week. Loop Rachele and Durdin if you can

All promos and rookies scoring OK...

Try as I might I cannot find a trade that would not be -
  • sideways
  • premature
  • just plain stupid
Absolutely shattered...but no trades.

Might be time to break into the trades.

Jelly - Cripps or Green is first thought.
Owens- some rookie kent
Darcy to Gawn/English if he misses again.
Berry- ???

Reckon you can justify a slight sideways/premature if it fixes structure as well as catching a rising :cow:
I'm looking at trading out Berry, moving Rachele from a stacked forward line into the mids and bringing in English. It strengthens my forwards and reduces the rookie roulette there. It gives good ruck backup with both Dixon R3 and Hayes F8.
My trade above is more premature (Berry) than sideways but there are so many variables in so many different situations.
Keep searching for a trade that makes your team better and then find a good reason to dismiss it. Or not.
:)

Just listening to the learned musings of Browny On The Cooch made me think of Cash Cows.

Sounded like he said "pasture" instead of "past you"

I'll see myself out

I like the concept.
I did trade Berry out last week (for Rowell)...Berry didnt fail, but too many had Rowell at cheap price - I wanted to see if he had recovered physically before I committed...definitely fit, just a stupid coaching move (using Rowell as tagger). Wont happen again.

Preuss for Dixon / Rachele next week potentially.
I have Grawndy...just dont see any reason to change (yet) - no keeper ruck doing that well...English the only one I would consider.

All cows held (only missed Durdin of the main ones). Rest have job security (Ward, McDonald, Rachele) or just starting to earn good $$$s.

Mid premos doing well...only Crisp and Steele performing below expectations...so be it.
If that's my worst problem....Hold.
