Still can't believe the position I'm in ranked 1,700 . First year super coach probably got a bit lucky...

Feel happy with most mid pricers and rookies.

I like being aggressive but I'm interested to see if there's trades worth making.

Was considering binging Green and English in for Gawn and Lipinksi

Reasining is - I think Green and English will be keepers and won't have to upgrade them again.

I can then upgrade Xerri to Gawn/Grundy once he has DPP. Lipinski is going well BUT i don't think he's a keeper. contested disposals and CBA's dropped.

I moved on Grundy last week to Pruess to be aggressive, i think he'll drop off this season (this might backfire) but allowed me to grab Heeney for a dead rookie who i think will explode this year.

Would love to hear some thoughts!

I wouldn't trade Gawn unless you can use the cash to replace a slow burner rookie in your midfield.
Don't know how much cash you've got in the bank Gawn > Witts ... Ward/Stephens > Greene
If this is achievable you will be upping ppw while generating faster cash.

Leon is thinking about dropping Preuss altogether. The same issue that kept him out of the side is threatening his position again (running out games). He had to prove his worth with a special training session last time - that’s how little faith they have in him.

Hopefully someone knocks some sense into him so he plays Flynn AND Preuss.

Update: Good news for Preuss owners.

Just got word that he’s solo ruck again this weekend. Hopefully he keeps taking advantage of these chances that he’s getting.

Still think he’s a decent scorer even if Flynn does come in the next few weeks to share the ruck load. Seems to score big in small chunks each quarter.

Being a Preuss owner is gonna be an emotional roller coaster this season. Hopefully he can prove the doubters wrong and kill it as the sole ruck this week. Big big big test.

English and Green are not going to keep scoring the way they are for the rest of the year.

In fact, I'd be more than willing to bet that Gawn will outscore English for the rest of the year so i'm going to rate that trade an (L).

Lipinski hasn't actually done much wrong. In fact he's delivering exactly what you would have selected him for. The fact that he is still going 100+ while his CBA's are decreasing is even more reason to hold as it's only a matter of time before those Collingwood midfielders begin to break down and his CBA's will go back up again. I think it's an unnecessary trade therefore an (L).

Owens is probably the only one that needs trading to a suitable replacement.

Why? Oliver ave 111 in his 2nd yr of afl footy and hasnt looked back. It's been done before and will be done again. Green is in his 3rd year. Fyfe averaged a ton in his 2nd year too.

This is my team after Marshall > Preuss and Rachele > English. Would've preferred to take out Stephens over Rachele but fell 2k short, likewise direct Marshall to English was $100 short. English won't keep up 120+ but I think he's a must have given he'll easily be top 6 forwards and can cover ruck, and he won't get much cheaper.


6 trades used and my start to the year was pretty bad (ranked 40k atm) but I think my rookie selections have been pretty good (don't think any will be dead rookies) and guys like Steele, Parish, and Crisp should come good so I feel ok about having used so many.

On reflection I'm likely to trade Preuss in on the bubble, so rather he goes well and Darcy is under 100 again so he's nice a cheap in a month. 2 or 3 games with Meek in is perfect.
