In all seriousness though, Norf will throw the kitchen sink at this and their only chance is to make it ugly with pressure. I'll be a bit nervous yet curious how we handle this type of game personally.
No doubt the Adelaide game was a classic 'ugly win' which we needed to grind out to kick off the season. Last year it was in Rd 2 against the Saints (on Good Friday.) It beats not bringing pressure, that's for sure, and it also builds self belief.

...this is an important game on Friday and with north always setting themselves up for our matches, I expect a tight tussle.
We set ourselves up for matches with you guys and for Good Friday. I think this is the right match for Good Friday, with Carlton the other possibility.

What a shock that it is the two clubs that would have folded if it happened to them. No doubt at all.
"Happened to them"? Like a lightening strike or other 'act of god?' Or were you referring to a self-inflicted wound? Still not owning it? ;)

I mean there are good and bad posters from every club. Your club just seems to be disproportionate, like Hawthorne. And I have that particular one on ignore honestly, there are others that should be but aren't.
Pfft. It's always going to be a matter of opinion, though when it comes to you guys, it seems to bring out the tribalism more strongly in a few on our Board, making a few bad posters worse, and a few decent ones average. In the latter case it's banter.

Why

Why would you drop Brown? Nearly bog

So a 29 year old journey man has a good game and all of a sudden he's an automatic selection. At some stage, against the better sides we are going to need someone to take some contested marks.

In the past 2 weeks he's probably scored 1 of his goals via a mark. Serious imbalance for a big man only average at ground level. Doesn't have enough weapons to trouble the better sides.

If our good players are not injured they play.

Sure if Joe and Smack are both fit and up to speed. They are not.

Great week for ex-Essendon player Brendon Goddard to question Ben Brown's masculinity in the media.

Couldn't big mouth wait another week? Brown to kick at least 5.

He called it as he saw it & I’ve got no problem with him calling out the big flop chop.

Absolutely pathetic & I hope we sledge the shit out of the big soft **** for it.

Make no mistake, I agree, it was a pathetic look from Brown.

But the timing is abysmal! If anything... I hope the umpires are more alert to it this week.

Played role he was given. No point being static and trying to outmark Andrews.

maybe he meant stand up like a man, as opposed to a boy?

Roos haven't been kicking a lot and are prone to letting a few in.
Brown could kick 10 and i reckon we can account for them. Just gotta bring the effort from the last 2 weeks.

Looming forward tot his game, out game against them last year, was my favourite for the season!

Looking forward to Joey coming back in, although I’m not expecting big things, hopefully over the next month he can string games together and just play his role, then maybe pick up so good form heading into September.

2 changes this week,

In: Daniher and Francis
Out: Clarke and Myers

FB: Ambrose Hurley Saad
HB: McKenna Hooker Redman
C: McGrath Heppell Zaharakis
HF: Smith Daniher Fantasia
FF: Walla Brown Stringer
Fill: Bellchambers Shiel Merrett
Int: Ridley Parish Baguley Francis

This is the team id like to see this week
FB Saad Hooker Francis
HB Ridley Hurley Mckenna
C Merrett Heppell Zaharakis
HF Smith Daniher Fantasia
FF Tippa Stringer Brown
FOLL Bellch Shiel Parish
INT Redman Mcgrath

Last 2 spots from Ambrose, Baguley, Myers, Z Clarke, Langford, Guelfi
good team. Do like it.
I'd be leaning towards Myers and Clarke for the last two.
Dont wanna risk Belly going down and anyone else have to ruck against Goldy. Belly might be helpful stretching the Roos defence. Brown can move up the ground or into defence if needed (Ridley more than capable on a wing if needed).

If Myers isn't up to playing after a boot to the face, Langford or Guelf.

I wanted Daniher to play VFL, but considering Norf are practically VFL it makes sense to bring him in this week. Let him kick a bag for grandad. Joey will need to have a run on the ball at different times otherwise Goldy will run Bellchambers into the ground.

Hooker makes our team look very different. Daniher leading from the goal square creates more spills for Tippa and Fanta.

Not sure who makes way for Francis. Ambrose has been important for our backline. The amount of pain he brings to the opposition is massive. His ability to work opponents under the ball without pushing them is also important but could be exposed by Brown's height. If Myer's misses then Ridley or Redman go into the midfield with Francis down back. If Myers is fit then one of them make way for Francis.
