I know, it's gotten out of hand. And I was going to play it conservative this year

Yeah, I'm down to 14 now, but with Cox and Ablett in my side, I definitely won't be burning more trades anytime soon. Only upgrades from now on

Oops. I suppose scores of 99, 95, 101 & 53 don't exactly constitute a poor start, my only excuse for including Hools in my 'concerns at the moment,' is the fact that the post was at 5:30am following an all-nighter assignment effort (similar to tonight actually). But still poor call from me.

How quickly one's cred can drop in the space of 2 posts...

Was pissed off at Nathan Foley. Shit at S/C. Had enough to downgrade Robinson to Barham (sitting on the pine) and upgrade Foley to Dal Santo. Wanted to pull the trigger on Skippy. But have decided to wait it out as there is no 94K forwards to swap with imo. Happy with Mitch Brown and Taylor Walker making $$$ and will go with one of them as 7th forward until I have enough to pull the Skippy trigger and upgrade to a premium. Including Higgins, Krak, Houlihan, Rich and Gilbert I have 17 keepers atm. Can't see myself trading any of these blokes for the whole year if they average around 90. I think at least 3 will

Jarrad Grant from the Doggies maybe? I know its only his first game, but he was in the mix to be a part of a few forward line benches during the pre-season, so might be worth a punt now?

Out - Skipworth, Robinson
In - Stanton, Barham

Could have gone Gibbs or Kornes but i've gone for x-factor. Following the 6 year rule and Essendon's improvement i've gone for big point potential with Stanton. His record sucks but i needed to take a risk and other teams in my league have Gibbs and Kornes. This could either backfire in my face or workout to be a steal at $485. Wish me luck. Being unconventional surely isn't a bad thing right or we'd all have the same teams

That trade is actually that crazy a decision it actually makes sense to me.Nothing better than when moments of insanity turns out to be pure genius and i hope out works out that way for you.

I have been inspired by Impromptu last week and have jumped off the Ablett as (C) bandwagon and am going for the rain man Jimmy as my captain this weekend.Let the craziness begin

just traded skipworth for beams, use him on the bench, cash cow etc etc.

now have to upgrade cheney as backline, not that experienced. at 6th 7th position.

i have hodge (ouch) gilbee, cornes, houlihan, gilbert, petrenko, cheney, hill and zac dawson. trading cheney gives me $512,700 to work with. who is the best option for this price????

I would say Enright, Fisher or Lockyer at the moment are the best around that price.Formwise Lockyer is playing better than the other two, but the other two can improve dramatically.

I like Jimmy in the wet as well but is two risks in one week too many?

enright, maybe still a little cautious of. lockyer i understand but fisher is $200 short. i'm probably going to go with lockyer because of your favourable draw the next few weeks, in fact i just did it.

As for your Stanton this week will suit him, it is going to rain and that will probably improve his kicking or bring everyone else down to his level lol.But that won't save the dons after they get demolished on the weekend.

Bah no hope of losing Essendon players don't like getting their hair wet will be a 10 goal smashing our way. Stanton 34 SC points 34 possession 14 clangers and i have jumped off Jimmy and gone Buddy as captain. Mcveigh won't play will help us even more make it 12 goals.And Buddy will kick 8 go you good thing 185 points

Yup Buddy is due hoping Hodge has one more average so i can trade Hill for him next week.I got hammered in the trades list for trading off Hodge and Garlett for Gilbert and Neon Leon in rd 2 has worked out amazingly well.Time for him to come back in.

I have used way too many trades already but with no Ablett and almost everyone else in my league having him, I couldn't risk more weeks like he had last week. I originally picked Skipworth to be an upgrade, not downgrade (in the forward line) but I went with:

Skipworth - Warren (I have 5 premiums in the forward line)
Griffen - Ablett

All this does is take Ablett out of the equation and now need to rely on the rest of my team being better than theirs.

Biggest dilemma now is the rucks. Kosi on bench and need Jacobs to shine this week

Have had a shocking run - first Cousins (what was I thinking?) and Raines, then Ottens. Had deliberately left my backs short to upgrade during the year, but can't get to them yet. Now the extra trades to get Ablett who I should have just learnt from the past and had from the start. Oh well, live and learn.

im thinking of doing leuy to meeson and just rotating between meeson and jacobs for as long as i can. dont want to spend a big upgrade on a ruck that wont bring a huge amount of point into my team anyway. would rather spend cash and upgrade others.

BTW does anyone know how long Nathan brown is out for, and if its just soreness or possibly bit more serious?
