Hickey is a 6ft 10 Aaron fiora

Always thought Fiora copped a bit of a raw deal.

Sure, he wasn't the toughest bloke going around, but a 'weak' player then is what we call an 'outside player' now. He had pace, excellent skills and an insane leap.

What we wouldn't give now for a 6'1 bloke with those characteristics on our list.

They talk about blokes who played in the wrong era - usually blokes who played after the time they would have suited - but I reckon he's the other end of the spectrum; he'd thrive in today's football IMO.

Will be very interesting to see how Bill fits in with the current midfield set up. I actually don't think his around the ground marking will be that big an issue but he needs to throw his weight around and make his presence felt.

If we ever got our own stadium there is no way it would be anything more than 20k seating to start with. I think it would be in Frankston and the Local/State/Federal gov would be pork barreling paying for the majority of it.

Play most of our home games v interstate teams there and have "BATTLE OF THE BAY" special game against Geelong and alternate that between our ground and Simonds every year.

Of course none of this will happen if the AFL buy Etihad and the deal we get from that is as good as we hope it will be.

Just like you say you were right do we get to say you are wrong if Longer is out before then. By the way the club said Hickey was managed not dropped as you suggested.
