I'm hoping that Langdon will be sub. With his round 8 bye I'd love to trade him out this week. Still might trade him out anyway, regardless of price movement, there's good upside in keeping Dunstan/Tyson with their round 10 byes and superior ppg.

It would make my trade decisions a lot easier, that's for sure.

I don't understand.

His be is 44. I'd rather him play a full game this week bad next and then cull him?? If you want to keep Dunny and Tyson then trade Langdon. Whether he's the sub or not shouldn't really matter?

If Langdon is the sub then its a clear double downgrade for me this week which means my score will be utter shit for the week. At least itll be a double upgrade in the mids next week.

I hope he plays a full game and scores 75 odd so he'll be good for a few more games as a cash cow. His price now sucks.

Hey everyone what do people think of my trades?

More would be nice, but a 125k profit is acceptable. Roughly the same as Tyson which every man and his dog is culling

I'd cull Tyson instead of Ellis. Ellis' price won't change. Tyson unlikely to hit be based on firm and playing Swans and will most likely drop in price.

Tyson didnt exactly make a lot if money but he is worth $80k more than Langdon right now which makes a downgrade much more palatable in terms of immediate cash generation.

Thinking of double downgrading this week with two solid rookies on the bubble.
Ellis>Robertson
TMitch> Lloyd

Leaving me with 580k in the bank to go Dunstan>Watson and Langdon>Jaensch/Hibberd next week.

Thoughts? Could do an downgrade+upgrade but would mean missing out on one of the rookies.

I'm in the same boat.

Thinking M.Thomas > Billings (I think whilst 80k more than Robertson, he's a gun and moo quicker)
TMitch > Lloyd

Not sure, I could go Robertson instead of Billings need guidance!

Either way will have around 750k in the bank for next week double upgrade (pending any bubble rookies I may want to grab)

im
and without the scoring & money making ability.
a tigers man, and with 3 of our top 6 players coming back in coming weeks. lloyd is 1 bad game away from getting dropped. gordon has him covered if hardwick had to choose. dont get seduced by that first big game

Thought LLoyd was actually your most dangerous forward option in the first half of your game last week and only died off because of a heavy hit.

I notice a lot of people picking up Swan when they already have Pendles/Beams in their mids - Is this wise?

Haven't seen one person jumping on the Stevie J train whos in some red hot form!

Ellis > Lloyd
Tyson > Steve J

Is bias clouding my vision here?
Stevie J has same bye as Swan so no difference

i agree he did only die off after the knock. but still gave nothing in the second half. if he struggles against the hawks which is possible, that makes it only 1 good half in 2 weeks. then look whose knocking on the door the week after..... lids and rance.
gordon a our super sub at the moment. kicked 3 and half 7 k's at high speed in a half of football. he keeps his sub spot over llyod for mine......... or does he........ hahaha gota love supercoach

Cutler is the defensive equivilant of Lloyd without the rnd 8 bye
Except that he's expected to make about $42k less than Lloyd over the next 3 weeks despite playing one more game and he's likely to score less points. Cutler's a good downgrade option, but nowhere near as good as Lloyd ... unless you're in a really bad round 8 bye situation.

I have Kelly, Bruest and Ellis out.
I'm thinking of going Ellis to Billings not so much a money maker but because I think Billings will be a decent scorer and enable my F/M's to cover the midfield ducks for rest of the season. Might keep McDonald all season for this reason too.
Haven't pulled the trigger yet, just undecided on burning another trade on Rohan to Lloyd.

I'd keep Ellis for another week and then cull. Cut one of Dunstan or Tyson loose as they're unlikely to make their BE.
I am in the same position, but I can't decide which of Tyson or Dunstan to trade out.

Im culling both Tyson and Ellis. Kelly takes a spot on my bench and Robertson gets a gig for the week.
Although Tyson > Lloyd via Dangerfield.

If you had to trade one out I would go Dunstan, Tyson being a little more mature seems a better bet for a decent score each week.

god damn I could have used 3 or 4 trades this week. They should really consider upping the limit for the weekly trades but keep the max at 30.

I had m thomas, d thomas, tyson, dunstan and ellis in my midfield. Not to mention I still have titch and ambrose in my forward line.

Its a risky move as I expose myself to getting a donut or 2 but I actually decided to trade out tyson and dunstan for Swan and Robertson, reason being I expect them to go down in price and if they have shockers they could go down alot. At least I know M thomas and Ellis wont fall in price.

Fingers crossed there are no late outs in my midfield or forward line.

93k in the bank.

Option 1:
Frost > Lloyd
Tyson > Swan
3k in the bank to do downgrades next week.

Option 2:
Frost > Lloyd
Tyson > Robertson
407k in the bank

The first gives me no cash, but I am going to take the 0 for Mumford this week, so an extra premium is enticing.
I also have no bye 'strategy' and figure it is a bit late to think about it too much.

Thoughts?
