Is it better to downgrade guys who are playing (such as SPS) and get money for upgrades, or sideways guys who wont play again such as eddy and barrett?

SPP named on the ****ing ball. If i dump him, he goes 120+ and i am well and truly ****ed. His bye appeals to me too.

Roughy i understand, and was tempted to go to Greene. I think i might ponder that trade a bit

Gday Fellas,

Here is my team after round 5 and currently ranked 212 with 28 Trades and 123K

I'm feeling a little gunshy and really don't want to trade SPS/SPP/WHE as I believe all can still make plenty of cash with a big score in the rotation. Am I being overly conservative considering there are great value picks like Hanners/Parker/Steven ready to go?

IF I get any rookie it will certainly be Balic for DPP.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Early thoughts are SPS-Balic leaving me 300K to upgrade any rookie (preferably a gun like Selwood/Bont/Hanners)...

SPS will go down before he goes back up. High BE for this week so might as well move him on. Wouldn't be doing two downgrades as there are players that will bubble next week. WHE BE is his average but he won't reach it based off his last 3 rounds. I'm personally keeping him but you could move him to a fallen premo.

I'm taking Balic over Fisher simply because of his DPP.

Okay it's clear Swallow was a major mistake and he has to go. If he's going to be rested/managed even on the rare occasions he's not injured then there's no hope he'll be of any use. So WHE gets a reprieve until he becomes Parsons next week.

With Gray playing more up forward, midfield points will be shared between Wines, Ebert and Boak (to a lesser extent). Expect Ebert to average around the 105 range this year, which is reasonable value at 513k

Might take an injury at this stage. But I guess if he turns up at any stage he's good for another $20k instantly so.... I dunno. If we had unlimited trades, yeh you chuck him. If you have FWD bench cover, maybe you leave him there and hope Dixon gets 4 weeks for punching someone.
