Sideways trade:

Butters > Ross
Brouch > Josh Kelly

Try and get a premo POD in there to give me a boost, like turning on the Nos in a Fast & Furious movie.

Ok this is likely crazy, but...

I have O'Brien so if I trade out 1 of Gawn or Grundy to a cheap fwd (via bines) I'll have almost $800k in the bank to spend. I'll likely lose 40-50 points a week average with this move, but I can upgrade 4 cash cow players over the next 2 weeks. That will add a potential 200 points a week to my score. Then once Jacobs is back (and after byes) I'll buy back the ruck I traded..

Thoughts?
Don't do it. Surely there are more pressing issues you need to address? I think there would be many other trading options available to you. You might be able to get 'creative' with another trade but i dont care how well ROB is doing, Gawn and Grundy are the top 2 rucks in the game, just enjoy the money ROB makes. Yes, he's going to average a fair bit but i think you need to be happy with him on the bench. You can do some other downgrade that may cost you even more points but it will still be a better option than trading a premium who you will only get back later. Maybe if the Preuss effect was real or if Grundy looked to be struggling with that toe injury but that is not the case, not only do you lose points per week but you lose future trading options which could result in huge opportunity loss. That means when you are making that extra trade to get Gawn/Grundy back you could've been trading a rookie or MP option to a premium. Even if that extra trading option is simply a downgrade, you are losing a potential cash generating trade because you are trading in a premium that you once owned. Yes, it would be nice to have ROB on field but that isnt how ROB adds value to your team, its the money he makes that matters.

EDIT: If ROB was averaging as much as Gawn and Grundy then i could see the value in the trade because then you wouldn't need to trade Gawn/Grundy back in but ROB won't average as much as them.

Looking at replacing Sheed with Dylan Shiel.

Then get either Baker or Ross.

Going a little sideways with Sheed as i would like to get Whitfield/Lloyd/Sicily or Heeney for my defence and forward line in the next month.

Who's ear :ear: you going to bite off NSWCROW :moustache:.

PLAYER - Dom Sheed
USER - Jiska

Hi .
Gray can score like KPP player at times l would hold .Upgrade the rooks first.
You only have 2 premo backs l would look to trade Rozzee to a gun back soon.
Mids always come down in price you'll find a good one when the time is right.

Good team once the cows moo you will be able to upgrade .
In light of your suggestions, I could trade out Rozee+Duusma/Parker then and pickup BSmith and a rookie. I'm not sure that Brodie Smith makes the premium cut. I'd prefer to get Hurn, Ryan or Laird (probably in that order but happy to convinced otherwise) so maybe I am getting too trigger happy on the cows and need to wait until I've built up some bank.

I can't find any rookies that I can dump Rozee for this week, so I might have to just sit for a week. I'm not excited by dumping Parker for Barker this week, as there's only 50k in it, and the other rookies I have scored enough to justify holding on for a week or two.

Thanks again for the advice

I think I'd do Collins > Baker (via Burgess) and Milera > Lloyd. Of all your rookies, Clark and Collins probably have the least money making potential given their current pricing point. Baker is scoring well and you can afford to play Duursma and Hore in defence i think.

yeah that sounds good but I don't have enough money to do that trade i'm 12k off.

really?
replacing a mid price player thats holding his own with a premo that has a similar average and a rather large B/E?

surely there's a better way you can improve your team.

Maybe the idea at the beginning of the year was that Brad Crouch could remain at M8/M9 but he was never a for-sure full-season keeper and he's being outscored by Sam Walsh. Why not sideways swap him for a two-time returning top-8 midfielder with low ownership a few weeks early. Forward-thinking: if Crouch keeps pumping out low 100s despite accumulating 35+ possessions but Josh Kelly finally finds his groove and pumps at a 130/140, people will start making that trade anyway, the only advantage is to get in early.

Been looking at Hurley. Aren't we worried he got his chip-scab privileges revoked and playing lockdown more often?

Nope, winning freewheeling bombers = free Hurley

Getting in Baker for Parker, that much is a guarantee. Tantalised by Lloyd as I don't have him yet and Collins has about hit his peak imo.

Lloyd is probably about peak price, but seeing as I downgraded Goldy to ROB I have the cash. Not convinced Laird will score the same numbers as last year with Smith being back, otherwise I'd consider him.

What are others' thoughts on the Lloyd/Laird dilemma?

Thoughts on this bunch of misfits kenties? 26 trades, $253,300 in the bank

Currently thinking of going Parker -> Baker and Clark -> Sicily, doesn't leave much in the bank but know for sure will be slaughtering one of the mid cows for Hately next week. I can't justify bringing in Ross as Gibbons and Atkins still have negative BEs and I get basically the same amount of $$$ from Parker -> Baker as I would from Scott -> Ross. JS on any of those Richmond rookies is iffy though... any thoughts appreciated :moustache:

Been searching for a POD due to my side being way too vanilla.
May be a risky one, but I managed to make something happen while still hanging on to Darcy Moore for another week (as long as he plays).

Wagner > Hayes (or Ross potentially if he is named again).
Parker > Gunston.

Gunners has been good for a 90+ average for the majority of the past 6 years. Started the season at 530k and scored two hundreds back to back to open the year despite no pre season games. Has had a bad 3 weeks but find himself at 440k. History would suggest that his run of 3 consecutive poor matches won't become a season-long trend.
Could be a decent F6 POD come the end of the year.
Still have the Moore/Burgess swing.
Defence and forward line now only have 2 rookies left to upgrade.
23 trades left.
This time last year I had 21 trades left so already in a more conservative position.

Collins to Lockhart gives me $288K
I can then either go
1. finally accept the A.Hall experiment was a complete and utter disaster and trade him too Neale.
2. or flick Moore to chip scab down back?

Which of those 2 trades should I look at this week?

It looks like you can afford to go Hall to Tim Kelly if you only wanted to use 1 trade.
