Does this game get ugly?
I have no confidence in a win
I don't think it will get ugly if we play committed football for 4 quarters. So far this year we've played 1st, 4th, 6th, 14th and 16th. Haven't been blown off the park in any of the games (Giants wasn't great) so hoping for a consistent effort.
It will be better if Jack and Mabior can get up for the game and show some influence but see how we go

It could be the Victorian coming out in me, but I would pick debuting at the G with all my friends and family able to make the trip easier. But I get your point.

The Collingwood game is going to be huge for SUNS fans too. Lots planned. Should be a good reception
May as well just play for Collingwood then.

We've played very well at Metricon this year and knocked off Carlton, Geelong and Port Adelaide so far. In fact, we've only lost one game at Metricon this year which happened to be against the reigning premiers who only beat us by two kicks, although the stat analysis actually suggests we should have beaten the Dees that night. So it's clear we're a better team at home and that makes this clash against Brisbane even more intriguing.

Anyone who remembers the QClash at the Gabba last year knows we're very capable of taking it up to the Lions and I can't help but think having Witts this time around is going to make a big difference. Burgess performed admirably in the ruck during that game late last year but in the second half McInerney completely dominated and flipped the script for Brisbane to take the W. That won't be happening this time around because Wittsy will keep us competitive in the ruck.

Our season to date is basically where it should be in terms of wins and losses when you think about it. The two teams we should have beaten so far were West Coast (1-4) and GWS (1-4) but we should have lost to the Demons (5-0), Carlton (4-1) and St Kilda (4-1). 2 wins and 3 losses is exactly where we should be, even though we got here in an unexpected way. Now we face another team with a 4-1 win loss record in Brisbane and it would be fair to assume we should lose this but I really think we have a chance to knock off Brisbane this weekend. I've watched every Lions match so far this year and, outside of belting arguably the worst team in the league at the Gabba, they really haven't been that convincing. I just hope our lads are up for the battle!

Also, last year when we got belted by them at home, we were missing Miller, Witts, Rowell and our CHF at the time (Sam Day). What I remember most about that game was McInerney monstering Burgess, which definitely won’t happen to Witts.

Unfortunately, I think we have to play Graham to take the resting ruck of Fort or McInerney, which at least neither of them are mobile but both are averaging almost a goal a game.

I think this will be a lot closer than people will expect and definitely can win this, but will but depend on how switched on the Lions are

If anyone could be bashed around all day and not feel a thing from the neck upwards it's our man Caleb.
Put him in the ruck.
It suits him perfectly.
Touk can line him up in the right direction and off he lumbers straight into the Big O.
Ol' Caleb won't feel any pain at all - and by the time his brain sends a pain signal to his body, the game would be over.

Rinse and repeat all game.

Keep the defensive run and gun going from Marky Markov, Weller and Farrar - and let Rowell off the leash. He's been good with his semi-tagging game, but I reckon he offers us more in an attacking role rather than defensive.

Stick Atkins in the guts - maybe Ol' Caleb might clip him on the way to a ruck contest........

Chol named
Luko not
8 on the extended bench so anyone's guess but Budarick is one of them so excited for him if he gets the nod

[2] Rory Atkins
[35] Connor Budarick
[29] Chris Burgess
[19] Josh Corbett
[5] Alex Davies
[17] Oleg Markov
[20] Jeremy Sharp
[24] David Swallow

Pick a bench from these 8.

Chol named
Chol being named is huge for us. For those who don't know, the last time Chol played against Brisbane at Metricon Stadium was July last year and he had an absolute field day. 4 goals straight (some from very difficult positions), 12 hitouts as the backup ruck to Nankervis and 4 marks (2 inside 50 and 2 on the wing where he outmarked McInerney). Last time we played the Lions, we had Burgess and Graham rucking against McInerney. This time we should have Witts and Chol rucking. That's going to make a big difference! Should also be pointed out that Mitch Robinson has not been named for Brisbane and that's probably a really good thing for us considering he played really well in the last QClash.

Any help appreciated, I’m looking to use one of my guest passes this weekend and I can add it to my wallet but it says it’s not a valid ticket, so I need to go to the ticket booth at the stadium or is there another method to get this changed to a valid ticket?

You have to select a seat and have it validated
Then it’s issued and can be added
So select the match you want- Brisbane at the bottom of the page
I made the same mistake first home game

Better chance to beat the Pies than Lions. Would have liked to have him firing against them!
Sorry was more referring to him breaking down every second week so he should be ok this week and not next week. Agree though we need him all year so don't want him doing something serious that could have been avoided with a rest. We have burgess and day that are both doing well in the 2s aswell so its not like we are desperate in that area.
