This is how I see the defender ‘depth chart’ against lions forwards.
They’ve got a pretty good mix up there.
Think we’ve got players who can go with them

Farrar on mcstay is a bit worrying when they’ve got Daniher, fort and mcstay up forward.

I wonder whether we actually consider a spare defender from early on. Try and get Powell or farrar as a spare who can help out aerially then also run the ball out of defence. Maximise Weller, markov, buderick, Powell, farrar run and linking capabilities.

Looking at that we’re quite undersized. Even their small forwards (Cameron, McCarthy) will have an advantage in the air. Crucial our midfield plays out of their boots otherwise it could get ugly…again.

Back at home looking to bounce back after a disappointing performance last week, hopefully we play with nothing to lose and give today a red hot crack. Brisbane are class no matter how they are playing at the moment and if we give them a sniff it could get ugly.

With some of these other recent results, we really need to pull out 2 wins minimum from these next 5 games otherwise that’ll probably be it for the season. Seems like very few teams you can pencil in a likely win against on any given day at the moment.

Will Lions lift as usual in QClash? They did not play top footy so far this year, yet there are 4:1.

BigO vs Witts will be interesting.

Can we square in the middle or at least come close?

Will Neale dominate?

Can Collins limit Daniher?

Can we move ball quickly from defence and spread Lions? We got some good, fast runners in the line-up.

Zorko in defence plays great distributor role. Do we play someone on him?

Agree RE: Rosas - one of our only genuine small crumbing forwards that was providing a lot of great pressure and shots at goal for us. Big downgrade to put Davies in that role.
