Alex Pearce has been playing really well this season so it wouldn’t surprise me if Townsend came in to nullify his impact on the game.

Just need to stop him impacting contests when we have the ball, but when they have possession, play off him to free him up as the loose so he kicks the ball

I completely agree, but that was Townsend’s role last year. To nullify one of the opposition players in the backline.

Just looked at the umpires appointments. Goal umpires are Chelsea Roffey and, wait for it, David Rodan. I loved David as a player for us and wish him well in his football related career. Wish there were more AFL experienced personnel who continued into a non playing role.

Really interested to see how our game style goes off the backup of 2 games in 5 days. Dimma has already said this game is the one that will be tougher energy /recovery wise

I just want the win for this game. Our VFL side did not really set a good precedent for this match with their close loss yet again to a side that they generally tend to lose closely against, so a win alone would be great.
