CJ needs a rest. Lost all confidence. Indecisive and fumbly. Mitchell extremely unlucky to get subbed out. Looks very composed with ball in hand and adds run and carry to our team.

He's first to be dropped this week. Scrimshaw needs to start (pending fitness) and Weddle can stay in the side.

Positives: Day, Lewis, Hardwick, Reeves

Negatives: Balance of midfield after halftime & finishing off our work inside 50

We kicked 0.4 from the start of the third term until 5 minutes before full time.

That inability to finish off our work was the difference in the end.

Can't fault the endeavour. Great first half. I was very sceptical of the Ramsden selection. Looked like he was still finding his feet at BHH. Didn't work. Weddle looked much more ready. Scrimshaw should start on the ground. CJ looks terrible atm. This team won't finish last. Seamus unlucky.

There’s nothing more Lewis could have done. He just had no help. We desperately need a second key forward.
Except kick straight

A bit too many half efforts from senior players for my liking, Wingard and Morrison in particular

Start of the 3rd - Took the heat out the game. 18 point swing.
Ferg front on, brockman mark not paid, then HTB paid to dogs all in 10 mins. There is the game.
Proud of the effort, kick straight in 2nd and don’t get shut out by doggies favs umps in the 3rd and we are in it.
Nothing but positives for me

First game where all our mids clicked in the one game.

Day 30 disposals 13 contested 6 clearances
Newcombe 24 disposals 19 contested 10 clearances 2 Goals
Worpel 25 disposals 14 contested 8 clearances

I reckon Reeves just had the best performance of the season vs English. That bloke is ******* monstering everyone, even Darcy and Co.

English still had a big impact but he's the best in the game right now. Reeves really took it to him. Well done to him and the boys for really fighting it out. Just not good enough to finish the opportunities. But the vision forward is crystal clear.

Beat him for touches and had 6 tackles. Though English did have a big impact with his touches, but there's really you can do about that. No ruck can go with him at ground level or around the ground in general.

Reeves was able to create some contests as a bail out option and going back in defence, that has been by biggest criticism (and concern) of him to date and today he was excellent in that regard.

There was a lot to like and some great highlights, it feels like we are improving every week although I guess we couldn't really get worse than the way we started the season.

Progress in the right direction from a young team. Need more polish in disposal specially in kicking. I am sure they will improve with each game. Still the FF set up is a work in progress.

With C Mac out, O’Sullivan, Butler and Bennetts playing the way they are then Moore, Wingard, Greene should all be worried of their spots in team. Not enough of any goals from them. And they all offer very little forward half pressure. What a head scratcher Subbing out Seamus. Has been the brightest light this year thus far. Looks an elite talent, wonder what he could do forward of the ball now he’s gained confidence?
