Amazing stat! The last few years we have been absolutely awful at it. Almost every quarter you could count on a cheap goal with about a minute and a half left.Interesting stat in The Age today - we have conceded the least points in the time on period of quarters this season.
How many times in the last few seasons did we leak a goal in the last minute or two of a quarter? - infuriating!
yep. i think we've just learned that maybe these kids are actually better than the injured ones. if the preview thread has anything to say about it. If we truly are past Jones, Billings and Hayes is (supposedly going to be fighting caminiti for his spot) then the injury list looks less dramatic and we actually had close to our best 22 exception king and steele.Mayo much
Saints win, Ports 2nd half last week was just steady against WC both scoring 7 goals a piece, WC more then matched them.
that is diabolicalWith anyone else as coach: 2-20 (wins 2006 & 2020)
with damo's strike rate mitch is getting delistedDamian Barrett is already trying to lock in Mitchito Owens for the Rising Star winner.
IF eyebrows were raised when TDK was 'managed' ... THEN
Sliding Doors is back for 2023 ... and Damo's got plenty to saywww.afl.com.au
If he tears a few more games apart then he could become a front runner for the trophy
They have some serious pace, I’m not expecting as easy win.Beating Sydney, Dogs and Brisbane is a pretty good effort. You wouldn't want to take it easy.
half a year ago Windy was our next captain and star and Owens was his best mate that's good but needs to develop more before he's a consistent starter. They'll both be fine there's just not enough space in the team for everyonebut I hope Owens continues his good form and if he does the hype on him is going to go through the roof.
He is already showing far more than Fyfe and Dangerfield did at the same age , so the sky the limit.
I'm hoping Windhager gets a run because I feel he is untapped and if given a free rein not just used as a tagger he could well show we have another star in the making.
By Half time?
He would probably be in the 22 now if not for that injury just before the season kicked off.Windhager is not in the 22 because Ross has stepped up - it can not be forgotten how Windhager took on a hot Neale and showed him up.
To me he is to good for VFL and I would have him playing ahead of Bytel and I feel sorry for Bytel because he also needs a good run in the seniors.
I hope our sub will be Windhager
All i said is a Saints win, Pt's wins 3 out of 4 at home in Adelaide, how is Sydney travelling lost 2 out of last 3 & Sydney's only win was against Richmond who are struggling themselves our loss against Collingwood stacks up well.Beating Sydney, Dogs and Brisbane is a pretty good effort. You wouldn't want to take it easy.
Well I jump on a plane in an hour for the flight to Cairns thinking the game was at Cazalys again.
Do us proud Melbane based Sainters and justify the non sell off of this game by turning up in droves.
Meanwhile I’ll be fronting up to the Bungalow in Saints polo and flowery board shorts to watch on the small screen.
Big screen taken by NRL.
But I loved that followed by a 25 metre kick sideways straight out on the full!Dougal to do a 360 spin with ball in hand and actually trick his opponent as opposed to last year.

I got a photo with Gav Wanganeen at the Adelaide Oval during the Gather Round. I said to him he touched us up in the 2014 prelim, the least he could do is get a photo with me. He laughed and said I hope the Saints give the Pies a touch up today - lovely bloke. For a guy his size he has extraordinary wide shoulders and huge hands so is it any wonder he has a stand named after him.Remember that time port beat us by a kick in a prelim?
Me too.
