Bailey Banfield is the best defensive fwd in the comp that doesn't tackle or kick goals. Gosh he's a nice young fella though.

I'm ecstatic at the ins but you can only laugh with those outs at this stage. They might one day solve the meaning the life, but scientists will never be able to determine how Banfield played 100 games of AFL footy

unless they're planning on subbing out one of treacy or amiss, will fyfe be coming on as a mid? would have thought jackson/fyfe/amiss/treacy would be too tall of a forward line

I mean, every team has a whipping boy and banfields just ours. To be fair the change looks like Treacy in for Sturt. And the data on kms run and defensive acts must mean Sturt can't play banfields role.

It sucks Sturt didn't take his chance, but he simply hasn't performed as we all hoped he might have, except for a give minute burst against the dogs.

Getting dropped doesn't mean he's done, if he works on his game and improves he can still make it back. Treacy played an absolute shocked in round 1, two months later he's back, Sturt needs to take the same approach and not drop his bundle. Comparison to Banners is pointless, they're not competing for the same role, Sturt is competing with Switta and Freddie.

Interesting to note a change of structure this week too, we're going with an extra tall in the forward line. I wonder if Treacy is in to give Darcy a bit more of a chop out.

Brave strategy...
Forecast rain - go tall - remove potential goal kickers - stick fat with pearl boy!

But no one on here bar Footskills can work out what his role is. 4 extra pressure acts over Sturt can be given for basically breathing harshly. He barely provides pressure acts that actually count for anything hence the shocking tackle average for the year. Sturt can play the same role as Banfield, so could Treacy

Why would he regret it, he would have never got another game at the Suns
I meant since coming to Freo. He showed a bit last year so might of thought he was undroppable. Has his game been found out or he is just out of form or unfit
