From memory it didn't work out all that well for J_M when he did the original one, but in principle there's nothing wrong with it. You should always trade in the best possible option for your team. The fact you may have previously traded out that player is irrelevant to everything but your pride.

Being the pioneer of the Roughy manoeuver I had to test it out for ID10T purposes.

Since then the tactic has been refined and is looked at as a natural part of supercoach these days.
