Got to bring Barely in this week.
Am thinking for B.Crouch as he just isn't scoring well enough. 31 disposals for 79 points?
This will free up some cash to either bring in Telly to complete the Fwd line, Bont in the mids, or Stewart in the backs.
Thoughts on which 1 would be best?

Opinions on
Gibbon > Hately
Libba > Fyfe
Looks good, but if ever there was a week where trades are determined by team selections, this is the one. Hately might not even get picked, despite two good performances.

Answerth the other one to watch.

Shaw is an interesting pick, we all know his history of massive scores with some 💩 sprinkled in there... could reward you massively especially with their draw coming up or blow up and be a disaster! Getting Stack/Ross on the ground is handy at the moment though... certainly going better than Libba anyway

How much cash do you have and trades left?

Thanks for the tip!
95k and 21 trades

GWS draw is the reason I’m thinking him until byes when cows have fully mooed. Then he is either a quick upgrade or cheap D7 coverage.

Shaw will be inconsistent. Playing more the small defender role these days. Lock down roles will lead to inconsistent scores. His role these days is different to what it was a few years ago.

Atkins BE is back to 18 after yesterday. Bit early?
Atkins off an 87?

You don't have gibbons? Will be clark and gibbons for me
Clark ain't making any money soon, so can do

Clark > Answerth
Petro > Hately via DPP

...I think that works better, still gets Hately on field too...cheers lads.

No doubt!
But I think he outscores Duursma consistently from now until GWS r14 bye. 80 minimum, and a few tons. Then he easily becomes Whitfield or Laird or Lloyd (whichever I still don’t have), or is useful cover.

Not a confirmed trade yet but I’m trying to maximise my GWS / Port exposure in run up to byes if possible.

I prefer Haynes 443k (91 ave) in his +1 Def role and only 28k more than Shaw.

I'm actually hoping only one of Answerth/ Hately is named this week. If both are named, I'll have to take both. Would prefer to do one up, one down though. Corbett has good JS but not sure he'll be viable bench cover in the forwards with Bines also sitting there.

So ******* angry with myself for picking up Libba at 380k after his 150 game. I bagged the **** out of him all preseason and told everyone to stay away because he was fools gold, yet picked him up thinking it was impossible to pass on the 200k I’d bank along with a few ton’s. What a ******* dickhead. Two trades wasted and many points sacrificed.

Ahh, that sucks mate...unlucky timing with Bevo and his stupid magnets.

I was one of the people with whom you discussed Libba (vs Brouch) preseason and I still reckon Libba was a great pick. You said at the time the game had passed him by and that was no way he would average 90+.

As it turns out, Libba averaged 111 playing midfield and now 98 overall. He has still made $160K - as much as you'd get from a decent rookie (and nearly 200K at his peak price) - whilst scoring 100's. Nearly been my best pick.

Brouch, meanwhile, has scored much less and only made 40K - essentially a wasted selection that needs to be upgraded.

Anyway, not trying to be a hindsight hero as I've made plenty of terrible calls but just wanted to mention that Libba has been a good choice for those that started him and you just got a bit unlucky with timing.

Jack Ziebell last two rounds up to 79% midfield time, and registering back to back tonnes.

421K forward.
Never averaged above 95, even when playing as a mid. Not saying it can't be done (look at Boak this year) but his DE has always been an issue.

Not a lot of upside with JZ. Wasn't what I would classify as a premo even back when he was a mostly full time mid. I understand he's been playing a run with/tagging role of late? Never quite developed a tank that could play 100% midfield.

Clark -> Answerth looks likely.

Hopefully Hately gets dropped again as my forwards need a lot of work but I'll have to grab both if they're named. Otherwise, probably Petrucelle -> Daniel/Mundy.

Used 1 up, 1 down trades last round..

I only have $8k in the kitty and I have the likes of Petru, Parker, Clark, Scott who are ready to churn.

Walsh is an interesting one, downgrading one of the previously named rookies means I could upgrade Walsh to a Boak or Jelly this week...

ROB (my R3) is another interesting one, just keeps getting better & better....Negative breakeven this week, and will be nudging $400k very soon.

My trades will be depended entirely on the selections this week. Will double down on Hately and Answerth if they are both named, trading out Brouch and Libba. Will give me a warchest for following weeks. If one or neither are named, I have enough cash to get Fyfe and either Telly or another back. Haven't read through most of this thread but I would be interested to see how much of a mention Ryan has got. 3rd ranked defender now for average. I should have got him on Saturday instead of Sicily. Held him all year last year and was frustrating as hell due to his inconsistency. Looks to have taken the next step this year. Under 3% ownership at the moment.

He played well last year too as I had him but this year seems to have improved his consistency as no 50s and 60s he threw in regularly last year too. Also a great bye and a high ceiling for scoring too.

Definitely one to target but I will wait to his bye as his price wont go up too much further at his current average.
