Cant believe Saints are thinking of going into tomorrow night without Highmore.
It's pretty simple isn't it? Highmore out, lose by 60 points. Highmore in, he takes 20 marks and intercepts everything, Saints win by a goal. How can it be so obvious to us, but not them?

It depends on your team structure, you can't say its a waste of 3 trades without knowing the full moves.

I never said Tex was a keeper and yes a rookie correction or team correction in general.

Traded Phillips -> Tex Walker (netted 110k) and I traded Cripps to Llyod when I heard Cripps was under a weird injury cloud.

In the process he gained 120k and average the 82 points over the stretch.

To say its gonna cost "3 trades" is a bit arbitary.

Also gets a rookie defender off the field which has been the weakest line for rookies this year. Sometimes its these sorts of things that need to be taken into account when assessing the impact of a trade.

Phillips/Cripps > Walker/Lloyd was probably not a game changer but still a pretty positive move, if you went Mills instead that would be another story.

I think I'm resigned to trading Bolton - I doubt he'll be back and playing at 100% in 2-3 weeks, and I'm one of the very few in the top 200 that has him, so he probably needs to go if I'm to keep pace with the leaders.

Bolton to Titch is pretty much locked in, which means one of these three rookie forwards needs to go for Poulter:
  • Warner - Means I have 203k left over, and Robertson, Bergman and Poulter/Scott on field this week.
  • Robertson - Means I have 154k left over, and Warner, Bergman and Poulter/Scott on field this week.
  • Rowe - Means I have 110k left over and Warner, Bergman and Robertson on field this week.
Who gets the cull? With no great bubble rooks coming through this week, I probably want to maximise the cash gen for a single trade upgrade next week. I'm shit scared of fielding Robertson, Bergman and Poulter simultaneously though.

I'd think that Robertson has some more cash gen in him, and is DPP, so I'd HOLD him. Warner probably the best on-field scorer. So it's Rowe OUT for me.

There will be downgrade options next week but maybe not very good ones

Rowe has a be of just 23, and 2 low scores in his cycle. I still think despite the tough draw he's still got a bit of value, and great JS.

Ratten's on a mission to save the careers of every list clogger we have. Highmore's actually good, so VFL until we crush his spirit.

Fix that defence its gonna destroy your good work for the next few weeks.
You may have to drop a good rook to do it.

The best I can come up with is Warner > Poulter and Highmore > Ridley.

What do you think?

Yeah I think that's what I am leaning towards mate.

What do you think of Maynard as an option now that Howe is out for 3 months?
If he plays small he scores well. When he's forced to play tall he struggles. Roughy is out, but Madgen is likely to come in. Looks like Moore is permanently back to defence and they want to pump games into Keane. So Maynard's scoring should be better, but I wouldn't do it, too risky imo, and I'm an owner.

My Walker story:

In : Caldwell (350k) > Walker (300k) Round 3

Out: Walker (465k) > Bolton (480k) Round 8

Average while in my team: 93

The sad parts of this story are the injuries to Caldwell and bloody Bolton. There's no way Walker's part in the tale wasn't an unmitigated triumph.

P.S. I'm holding Shai. He'd better repay me
