Fogarty has failed to dominate in the approximately 3 times we've targeted him by kicking to his opponents advantage and needs to be dealt with in the most severe way. He can join that other absolute spud Thilthorpe in being the sole cause of our forward line problems. 50 more goals for Sloane.

Irrespective of whether Fogarty and Thilthorpe "have it" (clearly the latter does, I'm still on the fence on Fogarty), they need to play whenever possible. The cupboard is bare. Walker is almost done, Himmelberg will never be a player, Gollant is still a baby and I'm too scared to check whether Frampton is even still on the list. Like it or not, Fogarty and Thilthorpe is our tall forward line right now. We might as well give them every opportunity to show they belong before we eventually find other players.

Schoenberg is by far the biggest disappointment for me this year. I'm a massive fan and he has so much talent, for him to put out three halves of footy like that so far is utterly baffling to me.

Good afternoon all. The captain has woken from his off season slumber.

Sad to see us continue to excel at hand passing to peoples feet and fumbling the ball.

Looking forward to a second half revival when we take the game on and move the ball quicker !

This “competition” continues to sink further lower (if that’s even possible). Up against 25 today. Hope the team can hang in there in second half. Berg out for Thilthorpe next week. Cook looks like a talent 👍
Hope you guys can pull of a miraculous victory with top ups to put everyone in the AFL on notice that other people can do your job and do it better.

Buckley said it in on commentary that we are so slow that it gives Collingwood players a rest, I agree. We need to come out and play fast attacking footy and actually make them defend, get rid of this handball happy BS

Was it the mids fault when Fog missed a simple set shot, fumbled a ball at the pivotal moment and dropped a simple mark?

Stood out really because everyone else has been super clean.

No no, we should just constantly drop them then recall them, and blame them for a forward line entry system which no one manages to look good in front of.

Do more you useless fools. Make Keays and Crouch stop kicking to each other 15m apart on the flanks and move the ball before the defensive 50 gets flooded or else.

The positive thing is that like last week, we’ve been mostly awful and aren’t entirely out of it. We’re actually very close to playing okay football, if only we could tidy up our disposal and decision making. Again, it’s just about those “green shoots” - of which there are a few. Cook has been great. Our backline has held up okay. Dawson settling in nicely… sure, there’s a few shoots that are withering (Schoey and Fog spring to mind) but there’s still hope that with a bit of nurturing they can still thrive.

Bucks taking a leaf from Eddie's book, making a bad game even harder to watch

Bring Frampton in and move Murray forward. Strawny needs to come in. Drop Himmelberg and McHenry/Rowe.

Laird is back and Pedlar will probably miss for Laird. But I'm not liking Sloane, Jones or Shoenberg.

Would prefer Pedlar up in the guts.
Frampton should never play another game.
That sort of decision has us treading water.. we need to clear them out.

Need Strachan for Rob next week + some pace in the midfield + players with football brains in the midfield and up forward. How long do we persist with McHenry running round like a headless chook game after game and Himmelberg pretending he can football? I'd have Fog in the 2s as well. Sooner play a midget forward line than the last 2 named playing seniors.
Can we manage a 3rd q like last week? Probably pointless if we we do as no doubt we'd turn to jelly in the 4th.

Best ruckman on the ground to this point..
Irrelevant if he has been poor.

Since when is it ok to have a poor game if your opponent isn't playing well?

That's a rubbish argument.

He should have marked most of those he is getting his hands to.

Its the curse of our midfield.

We're filled with guys who are really good at working into the space to be the short option 15m out, and guys who want to take the easy kick because they don't have the capacity to hit the hard ones- weirdly they're often the same guys.

They can quite successfully turtle crawl their way 50m or so and chalk up four touches each, but it doesnt ever threaten and will ultimately end in a turnover.

Other team then just runs past us for easy goal.

I actually think Keays has been quite good today, much less fumbly than the others in close. Crouch decent. Our wingers looking OK. It's been Schoenberg and Sloane letting us down in that area, along with Rob's disposal.
Harry's been really poor the last 2 weeks.

On this point, if I see one more Crows player call for a kick within 15m of the marking player I'm going to put my remote through the screen.

I get it, you guys have decided you want to play a short-kick game plan despite having arguably the worst skills in the entire league. But why call for a kick that will definitely not be paid as a mark? Why even set up in that spot?!
