Re: Round 15 trades

4 trades left with 600$ in the bank. Team WAS finished but now Sandi and Cyril are doing my head in, and I can't do a straight swap Sandi to Cox anymore. Ideas?

cutting it fine there with the $600. i'd look at goldstein as worthy replacement. i also have the cyza problem. current fwd line is: cyril, pav, sylvia, goodes, yarran, jroo, nroo (smith, callinan, mzungu)

if rioli is out for a month +, who looks to be a good straight swap? im thinking its out of boomer, cloke, stevey j

ideas?

One of those 4 trades will need a nice cash grab too, Otherwise your options are very limited

Boomer or Cloke. I still don't trust SJ for SC

Rioli will sit on my pine i think. With only 6 trades, its time to put the hand brake on. Have Krak, Prestia, Mzungu n(in mids right now, but can swap) and Howe as cover

Luckily for me, i ditched Sandi when he got injured in the first place

Will ditch Krak for Callinan once the wing nutted one is on the bubble next week (if he holds his place) for a nice cash grab

No WC players for me, so a relatively strong team this week provided Jimmy B comes back in

Re: Round 15 trades

Yep same with me with Cyril, have no choice but to hold him now and have an extra M/F premium anyway which was part of the whole idea to cover premiums out (with byes).

Looking at Sandi to McEvoy i think. Not running a Sandi/Cox/Smith/Petrie/JTip ruck combo has cost me all year but now it's really starting to hurt. Almost tempted to bring dish in now at twice his starting price...yuk

Re: Round 15 trades

I'm thinking Sandilands to Jamar.

I assume many will be trading Sandilands to Goldstein but he's not an option for me as I'd have no cover for him round 1 of the finals (Petrie is my backup ruck). Can't wait for Mumford as it'd force a donut next week. McEvoy is in ripping form but I don't like his chances of maintaining it, particularly with Gardiner coming back. Ottens and Kreuzer have byes in the finals.

So I think for me it has to be Jamar. But will be interested to hear what the rest of you with Sandilands (but no Smith) will be doing.

Re: Round 15 trades

On McEvoy, apparently Gardiner couldn't get up for today's game in the vfl so he'd be at least another week or two away you'd think. My problem is i have next to no cover in the rucks with Vardy and Spencer so i can't afford to choose a player who has another bye.

I do like your Jamar option though. Melbourne have a decent run home against teams without any real rucks barring West Coast and maybe Carlton.

Re: Round 15 trades

My main concern is league which is why the round 16 Adelaide/Freo/Melbourne bye doesn't really bother me. And as you hinted at, Melbourne's run in the finals is preferable to St. Kilda's (compare GC and Port in the prelim and GF to the Saints' run of Collingwood, Sydney away, North and Carlton). So, pretty set on Jamar at this stage, though McEvoy's scores so far have certainly been impressive.

Re: Round 15 trades

Was probably looking at bringing in Sandi after Freo's bye, but since he is out for 4+ weeks again i may as well stick with Z.Smith all year and look to use an LTI trade on Rioli.

I brought Pavlich into my mids pre-rd12 to eventually swap into my fowards, it's approaching rd15 and it's quite possible he'll still be in my mids this week as well. lol

Re: Round 15 trades

I'm thinking of doing the 'unthinkable' ie USE ALL MY TRADES WITH 9 WEEKS LEFT. Naturally, I'll get criticized for taking this approach but I don't see any choice. Sit around and wait to fall behind or just go all out...... Might get a few donuts along the way :(

No guts no glory. :D:thumbsu:

I still have my 3 trades left Prompts. I'm guessing you only have 2 left?

:p:p:p:thumbsu:

Re: Round 15 trades

Hey guys, tryin to mow down the points for highest points in my league... a decent 600points off. But I have already floored off 400points in two weeks. Hoping to come home strong and steal it.

$402,900: 4 Trades

Delideo, Gibbs, Grundy, Enright, R.Murphy, Shaw, Puopolo
[Stanley, Howard, Strauss]

Ablett(C), Pendles, Judd, Cotchin, Boak, Cross
[Mzungu, Hibberd, Jacobs]

Cox, Smith
[Ryder, Spencer]

Pavlich, Chappy, Johnson, Sylvia, Yarran, Goodes, Franklin
[Jroo, Lynch, I.Smith]

The players in bold are the areas I feel I need to strengthen.

Puopolo > Fisher? Goddard?
Cross> Swan? Priddis (After bye)?

Any advice if this is the right way to go about it?
I'd have enough cash to do both trades without having to downgrade which is a plus leaving me 2 trades for future...

Re: Round 14 Trades

I heard his knee is arthritic? Also, I have Cox, Petrie and Zac Smith?
Really want to chop Jolly.
Get rid of him if you have to, it looks like you have too many high priced rucks. Personally I'd downgrade a forward to J.Tippett and swap Petrie out and then perhaps downgrade one of Jolly/Z.smith the week after next when Cox is over his bye.

Yep, 2 left:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I have not even looked liked copping a donut once this year but knowing my luck as soon as I use all my trades I'll cop a few donuts.

Any chance Lower/Stanley can average 90 and Fisher can average 100? With an injury ridden Fremantle, Lower is getting game-time and doing okay.

Probably won't get Fisher this round as Lower v Gold Coast hopefully scores the same as Fisher

Re: Round 15 trades

Bit of a dilemma here.. want to bring Pav into my FWD line but don't know whether to trade out Krakouer or JRoo.. Both have similar B/Es.

Thoughts folks?

Re: Round 15 trades

Sandi > one out of Lobbe (F/R, got a game), J. Tippett (F/R, won't get a game, $70k cheaper), Gorringe (R, might get a game) or Keeffe (R, might get a game).
Iles > Fyfe

Then next week one of Heppell, Hibberd or Pedersen > Shaw.

Four trades left.

When looking at the first list of options, bear in mind I don't have Petrie. It's more in case I want to bring him in later.

Re: Round 15 trades

Sandi - Hale
Puopolo - Fisher.

1 Trade left.

Will prob upgrade Judd to a mid without a bye and that will be stumps.

Re: Round 15 trades

Depending on how long Mzungu is out for I will go either

Mzungu or Iles -> Callinan
Puopolo -> Fisher

Which will leave me with 7 trades, $65k~

and a pretty strong squad

Goddard, Newman, Deledio, Gibbs, Enright, Shaw, Fisher (Lower, Strauss, Toy)
Boyd, Pendlebury, Swan, Judd, Priddis, Dal Santo (Hibberd, Iles, Callinan)
Cox, Petrie (Smith, Bailey)
Franklin, Pavlich, Sylvia, Chapman, N Riewoldt, Harvey, O'Keefe (I Smith, Richardson, J Tippett)

It's reasonably well set up for finals, and the up comming byes. Normally both Smith and Riewoldt will play, or I have a choice between which of them plays.

In the backline, Lower is good cover, and MPP means I don't ever have to play bench players in the middle.

I'll trade Judd later to avoid his bye in the finals.

Re: Round 15 trades

Not sure if I should trade this week

I have 7 trades and $142,300 in the bank

My team is:

Goddard, Broughton, Deledio, Gibbs, Adcock, Shaw, Otten (Stanley, Puopolo, Jacobs)
Ablett, Pendlebury, Swan, Judd, Thompson, Cross (Hibberd, Heppell, Mzungu)
Cox, Z Smith (Vardy, Bailey)
Franklin, Pavlich, Sylvia, Fyfe, N Riewoldt, J Riewoldt, Goodes (I Smith, Richardson, Darling)

Thoughts?

Re: Round 15 trades

Rucks are currently Sandi, Cox, Smith, J. Tippett (with Petrie as cover in the forwards). Not sure whether to bring in another top ruckman like McEvoy, get someone cheap who's going to get games and rely on Cox/Smith, or use Petrie in the rucks and get another premium in the forward lines.

It's probably also time to jump off Heppell and bring in Fisher :thumbsu:
