Re: Round 22 Trades

Hi guys, I have 3 trades left and 35k in the bank.

Backs: Gibbs, Goddard, Lids, Fisher, Broughton, Johncock, Enright, (Stanley, Heppell, Toy)

Mids: Pendles, Dal, Swan, Priddis, Ablett, Cotchin, (Prestia, I Smith, Jacobs)

Rucks: Cox, Sandilands, (Smith, J Tippett)

Forwards: Pav, Fyfe, Goodes, Franklin, Petrie, N Roo, Rioli (Mzungu, J Roo, Lynch)

Just trying to make the best improvements with the money I have left. I'm in 3 cash leagues but have to play this week in 2 of them.

I see my weaknesses as Stanley/Heppell cover for Enright/Gibbs, Cotchin as last mid and N Roo/Mzungu/J Roo as my last forward.

I just can't work out the best option.

Nice team, if I had to be picky i'd say upgrade cotchin to say a Mitchell. Id play heppell or stanley as your 7th def this week. - there arn't many better options that will score better.

trade heppel (due to bombers bye in grand final) to say a Christian Howard from the doggies if he gets named or some other 160K or below playing coverage in case of real emergency, then upgrade either Cotchin or Mzungu (swap Mzungu and Isaac Smith MID/FWD) so you can get the best possible mid, Mitchell, Priddis or Hodge and keep Cotchin as your bench coverage

Re: Round 22 Trades

Any help with this one?

I have 3 trades left and the week of. I have Gibbs and Judd to cover for the prelim. My options are

Option 1: This week (This week because Swallow is set to drop. Also mentioned he might play limited game time)
Gibbs --> Enright (making about $100k)
D Swallow --> M Priddis (to cover Judd)
Next week
Cross --> Sylvia (to move forward) (possibly Harvey if Cross goes up a little and Harvey down a little)

Or

Option 2: Next Week (Gibbs covered by Talia)
Kraka --> Butcher
Swallow --> Mitchell
Grand Final week
Cross --> Chapman/Harvey (if no injuries elsewhere to move forward)

Or

Option 3: Next week (Leaving Lower to start in backline)
Gibbs --> Enright (making about $100k)
Judd --> Mitchell (Leaving Cross playing)
Grand Final week
Kraka --> Rioli

Really cant decide this one. Been thinking about it all week. Option 1 get's me best cover for Gibbs. Option 2 and 3 leave's me a trade in Grand Final week if i make it and a better forward and means i can change my plans this week if there are injuries.

Any other ideas?

I have 45,800 K in the bank, 3 trades left and i need cover for Gibbs and Judd. Also i'm playing Lower in the backline and Mzungu or Kraka in the forward line.

My Team is
Backs: Gibbs, Broughton, Deledio, Fisher, Birchall, Lower (Talia, C howard, J Strauss)

Mids: Pendlebury, Judd, Swan, Boyd, Ablett, Cross (Swallow, Prestia, Hibberd

Rucks: Cox, Mumford (Bailey, Browne)

Fwd: Pav, Fyfe, Goodes, Okeefe, Franklin, Riewoldt, Mzungu (Krak, Richardson, A Siposs)

Re: Round 22 Trades

I reckon trade down Richardson to somebody like Calinan which will give you 60k and upgrade foley to S. Thompson who at 418k is great value. Then you also have room to move if you wanted to do a sideways swap for Judd or Gibbs the next week. But I think Thompson is great value

My dilemma is whether to Sideways M.Murphy to Mitchell this week before the price goes up.

Then next week whether to upgrade Hibberd to a premium defender or Sylvia/Higgins/N. Riewoldt to Rioli for the final couple of rounds as Hawks have Doggies and GC.

In the prelim in my league, 3 trades left (one is a Z.Smith downgrade), 11k in the bank)

My team:

Gibbs, Goddard, Fisher, Delidio, Enright, Suckling, Heppell (Puopolo, Smith, Howard)

Pendlebury, Swan, Murphy, Priddis, Boyd, Ablett (I.Smith, Hibberd, Calinan)

Cox, Sandilands (Bailey, Smith)

Pavlich, Fyfe, Goodes, Franklin, Petrie, Sylvia, N. Reiwoldt (Higgins, Darling, Lynch)

Any help or other ideas much appreciated!:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
I'd only trade Murphy if winning round 23 absolutley depended on it. You might be a trade short if a premium gets injured. Maybe with Heppell playing Port next week and Puopolo playing G.C the week after you're better off keeping them and getting Rioli.
For me I don't know if I can depend on Thompson playing for Adelaide, great player that he is. He is cheaper a.t.m for a reason. Considering Priddis and Selwood. Also Hodge and Mitchell although could they be rested? Also think I'm losing a lot by not having Buddy.

your team looks solid - no cats in it so i wouldn't trade - save them for next week, you need Rioli / Priddis / Chapman and maybe Johncock - all have good runs home so use your $$$ to get them.

I'd say it's out of options 1 and 2. 3 means no Judd or Gibbs for the Grand final. But 1 means no trades left and you might need one. So option 2 gives you cover, Mitchell instead of Cross and another forward. The only worry is not having Rioli so you have to weigh up him against having Gibbs and Judd. I see your dilemma though!

Thanks mate. I know bloody Shaw and then Newman screwed my big plans. Thinking i might go option 2. Of course i'll probably change my mind 10 times again but most likely option 2.

Re: Round 22 Trades

Heppell to Suckling to cover Enright or Cross to Boyd to make Thompson M7 who can cover for Murphy next week? 1 trade left

Re: Round 22 Trades

Heppell to Suckling to cover Enright or Cross to Boyd to make Thompson M7 who can cover for Murphy next week? 1 trade left
Heppell looks to have picked up his first half of the year form and is churning out some good numbers I believe, while Suckling suffered a back injury a few weeks back and may be playing a little underdone and his scores reflect that.

Cross to Boyd is going to get you potentially 50-60 points more. But both could be in for a big one against a helpless Port. Also, the new coach may stop using Cross as a tagger and let him run free.

Re: Round 22 Trades

Have 2 trades and 100k. This week I will be missing Bartel (Mzungu cover) and Enright. Next week Judd (Mzungu in again) and Gibbs. Have 0 Bombers. My only real cover in defence is Talia.

Thinking of trading Lobbe for a rookie (have Cox and Goldy) gives me an extra 270k in which I can upgrade Talia. Will mean I have no trades left though so have to hope for no injuries. If worried about injuries, could do Didak to R Murphy so I could swap him in def with Talia the next 2 weeks and if in GF week there's a fwd injury he could cover that as well

Re: Round 22 Trades

this week missing chapman and enright

next week missing judd and gibbs

atm mzungu will cover chapman and judd, jacobs will cover enright and gibbs

so thinking.... OUT- Mzungu, Jacobs IN- Sylvia, Gram

Thoughts?

Cant believe im thinking about Sylvia too, steer clear of Gram in Supercoach, he's a Dreamteam specialist at best

Sylvia and Johncock have EASY runs home, good punt??

Re: Round 22 Trades

Currently I have Stanley, Heppell, Smith and Mzungu covering Enright, Chapman, S.Johnson and Selwood. Playing in 3 semi-finals this week, would it be worth trading a Chapman to Sylvia.

This would allow me to not play one of the four mentioned above. Also helps me cover the Judd bye next week. So Chapman to Sylvia, good idea?

Re: Round 22 Trades

Backs: Gibbs, Fisher, Delidio, Birchall, Goddard, Broughton, Lower (Jacobs, Hutchins, Toy)
Mids: Pendlebury, Murphy, Boyd, Swan, Bartel, Montagna (I.Smith, Callinan, Irons)
Rucks: Cox, Mumford (Smith, Jacobs)
Forwards: Pavlich, Goodes, Johnson, Sylvia, Chapman, C Rioli, Franklin (N.Reiwoldt, T.Lynch, Richardson)

Need a win in both my leagues

have 3 trades and $151,600 left

was thinking that Bartel will go and Ablett will come in

then thinking lower to Suckling

Anyone got other alternatives? am a bit wary of being too hawthorn heavy and they may rest a few players in round 24

Re: Round 22 Trades

I have two trades left with about 50k in the bank, and have to play this week.

If I get through to next week, I play a best mate and co-worker, and we have very similar sides (he will also have 2 trades next week). I really want to keep my two trades, but to advance, I have the following differences/match-ups to decide the winner this week:

Code:
[FONT="Courier New"]
[B][U]Opponent Me[/U][/B]
HEPPELL Broughton
SUCKLING	Birchall
DUIGAN Adcock
REID Talia*

JUDD Pendlebury
D.SWALLOW	Rockliff

JAMAR Mumford

O'KEEFE Fyfe
HARVEY Davis
RIOLI Hodge
KRAKOUER	Mzungu or Didak

* Had to replace Lower with Talia just now, with Lower being dropped. Doh[/FONT]

I have Newman and Cross on the bench of any real worth.

I will probably go with Swan as capt. Think I can get away without trading? Looks a bit too 50/50 for mine.

Re: Round 22 Trades

I've only got one question.

Birchall or Suckling?

Happy with my backline but will be upgrading Lower for one of these two. I just feel that the hawks have the most superior run home to any team except maybe WC, so thats why it is down to these two.

For the record, i am leaning towards Birchall 70-30. Just feel that Suckling has come to the end of his run a little bit, but interested to hear a case for him anyway, just to confuse me.

I reckon you should have him covered. Having said that, unless you've got multiple Blues/Dons that you'll need to trade out, you might as well upgrade your team now, if you can see obvious ways to increase your points (e.g. downgrading Cross and upgrading Talia).

I think I'm definitely burning my last trade, now that Lower is out. Question is, which one of these options (134k in the bank)?

Option 1
Lower --> Bock

Option 2
Hibberd --> S. Thompson

My relevant lines are

Gibbs, Deledio, Goddard, Fisher, Broughton, Rawlings, Howard
Enright, Lower, Strauss

Pendlebury, Swan, Ablett, Mitchell, Harvey, Didak
Bartel, Prestia, Hibberd

I'm thinking Bock will be the better short term option and Thompson the better long term option. Really depends on what Didak does the next week or so.

Thoughts?

Safety first would be Birchall. Starts on the field, Suckling on bench more likely to be sub/subbed. Also you should find out if Suckling's back is still an issue. He can score well with his long kicks but is he worth the risk?

I'd like people's arguments for/against these mid upgrade targets -
Hodge - injury a concern as well as maybe being rested
Priddis - Consistent but unlikely to score big. Easy run home. Also maybe rested if top four is sewn up
Selwood - A superstar but plays pies in 24( although he got 159 last meeting) and got 87 against crows
Mitchell - Can he keep it up? Will he be rested against G.C?
Anyone else - Thompson? - plays for crows
Can someone convince me who's better? Foley would get the chop by the way. Thanks

Re: Round 22 Trades

rioli or okeefe
and
priddis v mitchell

Id take Rioli and Mitchell... great run home, Rioli doesnt need to do much to score big and Mitchell just keeps getting the ball.

Quick one, Im going to trade Chappy for either Pendles or Mitchell this week. My next 2 opponents (assuming I win this week ;) ) both have Pendles, so am I silly to think of trading in Mitchell to make it a Pendle V Mitchell matchup for the next 2 weeks, or should I just play safe and call a draw and get Pendles. Cheers guys.

Re: Round 22 Trades

Got 3 Trades left.
Wanting to get rid of Yarran and Gibbs(midfield), with $104,500 in the bank.
But can't get who i want. wanting swan and buddy. :(
so would buddy and mitchell be a good option?
or swan and ROK?
or rioli and mitchell?

im not 100% sure!!

bloody hell, need to win 4/5 of my 5 leagues. and need to keep my top 1000 ranking!!

with Stevie J, Joel Corey and Corey Enright out this week, with big Drew coming back in for SJ, J.Kennedy coming in for Corey and McKernan to cover Enright.

Then next week i've only got Judd and Scotland to cover, so Corey to cover judd and enright to cover scotland.

So my side as is:

Backs: Goddard Deliedo Scotland Fisher Heppell McKernan Jonas
Enright Lower Toy

Mids: Judd Pendles Ablett Boyd Gibbs(want to trade out) Kennedy
Corey Wallis Schneider

Ruck: Cox Goldstein
Smith McNamara

Forward: Pavlich Fyfe Goodes Petrie Yarran(want to trade out) Krak I.Smith
Johnson Matera Casboult

so suggestions are greatly needed :)
