My #1
He's definitely my favourite rookie since Rioli abandoned me.The highest praise I could possibly give you Bloodied52 - is that I didn’t even know you were a Rookie. All class . And I’ve really enjoyed our WW interactions so far as well
Oh... I see...My #1
TedDougChris , surely in what remains of the season there will be justice for Beandip .
moginie is another star Rookie. Can be seen doing fine work in the Dees v Bombers thread.
You leave my LewyTayTay alone you heathen!!!It would be like Lewis Taylor winning the RS, after one of the voting judges had placed a bet on him winning.
Completely undermines the concept of the award....

And what do you feel is the concept of the award?
That's what my teamsheets are for

Anyway... the only reason I came into this thread was to congratulate my favourite B52 themed (how good is rock lobster?!?) Rookie on thier nom... Congrats Bloodied52. Very well deserved.
Round 12
Rising Star nominees @AuntyBlinEye and Dr Mantis Taboggan topped all rookies this round with 29 disposals and 31 disposals respectively while keeping their opponents quiet. Davo-27 racked up the touches for the Dragons with 26 disposals but posting let him down as he failed to post in his team's match thread. This week's nominee has had a solid rookie season, winning more than 50% of his matchups, including on the weekend where he picked up 14 touches and two goals. I sat down with Baghdad Bombers half forward flanker, Riviat, and his captain. Tony Lynn 15.
Riviat
BB: You've put together a solid debut season winning seven of your 12 matchups and kicking 19 goals, mostly off a half forward flank. How do you feel you've gone this season?
R: Thanks for the nom Barry. I started off the season quite slowly and needed to adjust to the faster pace of the sfa. My shift to the half forward flank was an inspired one by my captains who noticed that I was wasting away in my previous position. Once settled in, I made the half forward flank my own and the goals come naturally. I am still hoping that we are able to make finals in my debut season.
BB: How did you find your way to the Sweet FA and the Bombers?
R: I was head-hunted for the Bombers by Wayneo in my other natural habitat around these here parts, Superqoach for that wussy league, the QAFL. I have now come to realise that the sfa is far superior to it in every way possible.
BB: If you weren't playing professional qooty, what do you think you would be doing right now?
R: A professional Superqoach scorer for that other inferior league mentioned previously. They recently put out a job advertisement and with the amount of made-up bs and corruption that goes on, I would fit in perfectly. Probably as close to the laziest thing I could do.
BB: Well, we're glad to have you here mate. Congratulations and good luck for the rest of the season.
Tony Lynn 15
BB: Two nominations in three weeks. What are you feeding your boys down at Bomberland?
TL15: Yes great reward for effort and Riviat is well deserving of his nomination. We have a fairly simple diet of grains and water, sometimes we throw in the odd pizza or Uber Eats.
BB: Riviat has been consistently active but not as some of the other Bombers' rookies this season. What has he brought to your club?
TL15: You know Baz we are all about quality over quantity at the Bombers. We like to take our time in match threads and just see how things evolve. Riviat actually brought with him to the club 6 outstanding warrants and also a strange rash that also weeped occasionally. He has also brought a fantastic posting style and fantastic sense of humour.
BB: Four rounds left. Four rookies remaining. Do you reckon you can get your boys posting enough to sweep the remaining Rising Star nominations this season?
TL15: Riviat was a product of the WaynesWorld19 Qootball Academy. I am confident that providing none of them get banned we can win the remaining 4 rounds of the Rising Star.
BB: I think I'll be taking the unders on that bet. Thanks for your time. I'm sure I'll be talking to you again before the season is out.
Well done Riviat
