Any rookie who has posted in this thread today will receive NO VOTES from me for the next month.

Far too much whinging. I'm certain this didn't happen last season.
Well just **** it off and give it to RobR, he posts ****all, but drinks piss ants like you under the table!

Award has been proven to be putrid. Lots of soft ***** hunting for likes.
The old "I don't even want your award" trope. Classic loser talk.

tony, I need your services. There has been an issue I would like you to handle for me. PM me, please.

When does goose-hunting season begin?
Thanks for the PM, tony. I believe we have understood each other. I’m counting on you, mate.

While I'm contractually obligated to pump up omgfridge and Spuddd as season 30's best rookies, it's nice to see BLUEALLTHRU in here representing pretty much everyone that isn't Bears or Dragons.

I like to think of myself as Patrick Cripps when it comes to rookie awards.

I wont win it, although I probably should. And looking into the future - ill be carrying this team on my back with no real success for the next decade.

"WHY SHOULD THIS ROOKIE BE THE TORCH?!"

Each week, Committee members must justify their choices of match thread winners. This not only helps us choosing who wins the Torch, but it also works as reference for all the rookies on what it is expected from them in the match threads.

This is what it was said about each one of the nominees this round:

guero
Here we go.

Guero's strength is ability to bounce off others in the thread with off beat insights, occasionally in structured prose form, but almost always entertaining.

He is very talented in many area's

I can’t speak for Baz, but I’m a wonderful, strong kneader. When I bake bread the praise is effusive.

His go to the Japanese art form of the Haiku

I sense your regret. This is the first line of a haiku I will finish in response to your next 2 posts - 1 line for each post. The finished product will be widely regarded as a masterpiece. But not now. Now I have to pick up my kids from school. I'm late. sh*t!

But open to improving himself

What have you missed? Faiku. I thought Monsieur Riviat was being mildly abusive, but he wasn't...IT'S NEXT LEVEL HAIKU! I'm now seeing the entire world in a completely different light. I can't help you with CHB. I don't think the Gumbies have enough players to field a full team.

But the main reason Guero was gifted a nomination was so we can bring in his succesful brother Dr Smarty pants, like Guero's dad, we prefer Dr Smartypants too

I’ve just shared a deeply personal story which shows my Dad cares more about my little brother Dr Smartypants than me and you want to debate notoriously unreliable British cars?

projectv
projectv may be a man of few words, however those words speak truth. He has earned his nomination this week due his strong %PE (Posting Efficiency).

He was determined to asked deep questions, such as:
"How much toilet paper collection constitutes toilet paper hoarding? The people demand an answer."
"Vic Mackey can time travel? That's some plot twist."

He also went toe-to-toe with an Englishman on tea. Chipmunk got deeply impressed with the Rat rookie laying down the law in tea brewing, quoting ISO3103, and providing a whiskey tea recipe "to die for."

He even aimed a shot at the former Rat rookie, Mr39:

However, the most impressive part of his showing past week was facing R1 Torch PMBangers. For instance:
"Do you always treat your fierce rivals like a Tinder match?"

His motto?
You line them up, I'll knock them down.

Indeed!

Supersuns
In a match where some of Season 30's elite rookies are going at it, all four managing 60+ posts each, Supersuns managed to find his place and stand tall above all the other rookies. He managed to find his feet in a match thread that mainly consisted of referring to the Roys as old men who belong in a retirement home, and the continued marketing campaign of the Bastyy fan club.

He managed to complete the right of passage for all rookies playing against the Furies, making fun of TJASTA

Supersuns said:

I guess i can dumb it down to your posting style to see if that works
fu** off idiot

He managed to suck up to praise the reigning SFA leading goal kicker on multiple occasions

Supersuns said:

Lucky our glorious captain @Mooch was kicking straight that day

Supersuns said:

The @Mooch Fan club will soon rival the @Bastyy one
And he managed to blame the sim

Supersuns said:

Won half our games, completely robbed by the sim in the other half*

If you're TedDougChris, you've got a young rookie poster who's following the standard template that all rookies follow (Make fun of x opponent, suck up to x member of leadership group and say bad things about the sim), but Supersuns manages to bring his own flavour outside of that.

His continued suspicions of the Bastyy fan club was great to watch, realising that there was definitely something up with some registered members

Supersuns said:

Mister N and Mrs M gave it away?
As well as making sure the updated numbers given on the posters provided to The BJO were in fact correct, calling in on Queen Elizabeth herself to check them

Supersuns said:

77!! Id like a royal inquiry into that number
After Dingster and Bastyy were able to confirm that Supersuns' wife said that he was very fast, he had some suspicions around their activity together

Supersuns said:

Are you two spooning or?
He managed to call the other team a bunch of old farts (very impressive for a Roy)

Supersuns said:

So you are all fat old drunks who punch on with everyone they can find?
Seems pretty Irish to me
While also managing to make fun of RobR for following an unsuccesful AFL club (very impressive for a Suns fan)

Supersuns said:

He has stuck with Carlton for this long, im sure being on the Roys will be a cakewalk
His last impressive piece was managing to snag the Torch nomination from Mister M, who was caught bragging in the thread about being nominated each week. This week Supersuns was the one with the last laugh

Supersuns said:

I've also had a torch nom for both games :$

He also had this post, against a popular RS Committee member:

Come here @Bastyy for reasons unrelated to arm removal

Great work this week from Supersuns, a worthy nomination

T2B_
There are many lessons that a rookie must experience in their first season in the SFA: such as learning about their opponents, resigning to the fact that the sim is corrupted, and comprehending what the hell SFA media is. However, one thing that many do not come across is what occurred in the S30 R3 Bombers vs. Dragons match thread. 4,200 posts worth of pure chaos and anarchy. All eleven rookies who participated in this thread and survived the SFA equivalent of a 1950s Soviet-era gulag have come out of it a changed player. There was plenty of debate about quality vs. quantity in this thread, but one player who achieved both of these was Dragon rookie T2B_. 216 posts for the week is exceptional by any standard, and this has now catapulted T2B_ to the lead of the rookie match thread post rankings, with 418 total - over 100 more than the next closest rookie.

T2B_ hit the ground running in the thread, with his knowledge of the Bombers on display early:
"Too many dumplings? I hear the Bombers have some resident connoisseurs of dumplings. Just remember guys, sharing is caring until your teammate can no longer see his own dick."

And was quite disappointed by the activity level of his opponents early in the week (I think he came toregret this):
"Where are the good Bombers posters? I feel like only a couple of the waterboys have turned up so far and the rest of the team is held up in traffic."

But he eventually warmed to the lovable Bomber scamps:
"This thread is already more entertaining and engaging than the Warriors one we had. Granted, making love to a cheese grater would be more enjoyable than being stuck in a thread with those guys, but I digress."

With the early-week banter out of the way, he then raised some interesting topics for us to discuss:
"Indeed. I still haven't figured out how vanilla slice and avocado could be combined, but some things are probably not meant to come together. Like the Bombers and the winners list."

Then raised some topics that probably shouldn't be discussed in the family-friendly SFA:
"Salo aka 120 Days of Sodom is pretty messed up. Just on this one, if you ever want to see a movie where the captors dine out on a table with platters of their victim's turds, this is the movie for you. Maybe one to add the Bombers' food pr0n list."

Had a crack at a fellow S30 rookie:
"Well you would assume at some point it could happen, my use of terminology aside. People argue about things, it's like death, taxes and a MITS shitpost. Inevitable."

Mentioned avocados for about the 30th time this season:
"I'm surprised no one at the Dragons has tried to discipline me for my avocado thing, but I guess it helps I didn't turn up with a man-bun and the unmistakable air of a pretentious hipster. I'm still fairly unfit and fat campaigner, so it's all good. "

Continued his discussion from the previous week with everybody's favourite SFA mod:
"Sorry NoDick, but I'd take this spamfest any day over the yawnfest perpetrated by the Warriors and Wonders. I've seen certain posters bemoaning lack of activity and engagement in the league. Can't have it both ways."

Correctly identified the best version of Black Betty, unlike a few heathens in the SFA:
"Confessed Tom Jones weakness here, so I know which one I'd go for."

Started to show a bit of confidence in his qooty playing ability:
"Sheer disrespect shown by the Bombers putting someone on me I've never heard of. The only Tone I was hoping for was of the Tony Lynn 15 variety."

And showed early signs of SFA-addiction...something we have all experience one way or another:
"I rushed home from shopping for this sh*t. Lol! "

Before finally experiencing defeat on the qooty field for the first time, and showing some class and humility to finish off his week's work:
"Well played indeed Bombers. It will be the loss we needed to have perhaps. *desperately searches for more silver linings* Honestly this week was far, far, far, far, far more enjoyable than the Wonders and Warriors. Kudos all. Do they even bother with fireworks in Baghdad? You could just detonate colourful buildings instead!"

Well done T2B_; a worthy nominee. Maybe don't make these 200+ post marathons the norm though...

Given you've basically quoted every post I made in the entire thread in a single post, I should win due to being so efficient.
We have left a couple out, haven’t we?

I just feel sorry for GP and anyone else that had to go through 200+ of my posts.
Poor campaigner is gonna have fun this week with mine,
