BFew (West Coast Wonders) ROUND 11 v BOM | Centre 24 disposals, 8 hitouts, 2 goals, 100 DT​

HIGHLIGHTS​

1 : 14.22 {rHBF} - No-look handpass to Cubs2Lions.
1 : 14.26 {C} - He tries to find BFew with a chip pass.
1 : 14.31 {C} - No-one can take the mark.
1 : 14.37 {C} - BFew signals for his teammates to present.
1 : 14.41 {C} - Monster shot at goal from BFew.
1 : 14.45 {C} - BFew boots it through and lets snozulu know all about it.

2 : 22.45 {rFP} - Oisin_the_Goat has a paddock.
2 : 22.49 {rFP} - A quick handpass to BFew.
2 : 22.53 {rFP} - A gimme goal coming up if BFew keeps his cool.
2 : 23 {rFP} - Can he kick it? Yes he can.

4 : 1.45 {C} - The ball is bounced and BFew gets the tap.
4 : 1.52 {lW} - Quality gather by BFew.
4 : 1.57 - <<< BLUEALLTHRU is coming on to replace iDon >>>

The Wonders' round-ball enthusiast had a much lauded game in Round 20 but he picks up his Rising Star nomination way back in Round 10, after moving into the midfield and starring against the Bombers. He started in the middle and kicked two goals in the first half before moving into the ruck in the third quarter and starring there.

tomjoad (Baghdad Bombers) ROUND 12 v OOB | Wing 34 disposals, 8 marks, 105 DT​

HIGHLIGHTS​

2 : 7.53 {lW} - Who wants it? Irish BlueBagger does. Great stuff.
2 : 7.57 {lW} - Irish BlueBagger is chased down by tomjoad - great effort!.

3 : 7.2 {lHBF} - Footy Is The Win scoops up the ball.
3 : 7.24 {rW} - He gets onto his right side and kicks to tomjoad.
3 : 7.28 {rW} - tomjoad FROM THE HEAVENS. What a hanger.

We didn't see too much of tomjoad throughout the season but he turned on the style in Round 12 during a busy match with the Old Boys that the Bombers would go on to lose. He was a shining light in the defeat, doing a mountain of work out on the wing on a hot day and took a screamer of a mark on his way to a statline of 13 kicks, 21 handballs and 105 Dream Team points.

Giant Strides (East Side Hawks) ROUND 13 v FUR | Back Pocket 4 goals, 54 DT​

HIGHLIGHTS​

3 : 13.37 {FB} - What a tackle.
3 : 13.41 {FF} - Giant Strides sizes the options in front of him.
3 : 13.46 {FF} - @Giant Strides may even have goaled.
3 : 13.5 {FF} - It's a goal to Giant Strides.

4 : 1.2 {FF} - Giant Strides and Chronz both holding each other. No mark.
4 : 1.23 {FF} - Giant Strides breaks free and has found some space.
4 : 1.28 {FF} - A chance now for Giant Strides who kicks at goal.
4 : 1.32 {FF} - It's a goal. @Giant Strides has 2.

4 : 3.13 {FB} - Chronz is chased down by Giant Strides - great effort!.
4 : 3.17 {FF} - Nobody's checking Giant Strides.
4 : 3.21 {FF} - Giant Strides screws it round his body.
4 : 3.25 {FF} - And Giant Strides gets it.

Consigned to a back pocket for the second half of Season 37, Giant Strides may have thought their chances of picking up a nomination were slim but some tactical changes in the Hawks' round 12 loss to the Furies brought him into the limelight. Trailing by 43 points at half time, the East Side coaching staff decided to pull some levels and swung GS forward, where he kicked 4 goals and applied great pressure inside forward 50 to help cut the margin back down to a more respectable 24 points at the final siren.

pK75 (Dragons FFC) ROUND 14 v DEM | Back Pocket 23 disposals, 3 tackles, 1 goal, 84 DT​

HIGHLIGHTS​

3 : 15.47 {lW} - Nobody's checking Headless.
3 : 15.51 {lW} - pK75 gets enough of a grip to dislodge the ball.
3 : 15.55 {rW} - pK75 to send the ball forward.
3 : 16 {rW} - pK75 bounces the ball.

3 : 17.32 {lW} - Too long for Headless and pK75 marks.
3 : 17.36 {rW} - @pK75 slowing down the play.
3 : 17.4 {rW} - Goes the torp..
3 : 17.45 {rW} - Goooooooooooaaaaaaaaallll.

Another case of a young rookie shining on a dull day, pK75 was swapped onto the wing and kicked a memorable goal in a disappointing loss to the Demons. He did well head-to-head with SFA veteran DemonJim, picking up 23 disposals and laying 3 tackles in his best performance for Season 37.

Nothing (Gold City Royals) ROUND 16 v GUM | Half Forward Flank 17 disposals, 6 marks, 65 DT​

HIGHLIGHTS​

1 : 9.34 {lHBF} - ossie_21 nearly got done for running too far but he remembers to bounce at last.
1 : 9.38 {lHBF} - NSWCROW is tackled beautifully by Nothing.
1 : 9.45 {rHFF} - With the ball is Nothing.

4 : 6.04 {lW} - Its hard and tough but Footypie32 wins possession.
4 : 6.1 {rHFF} - His kick is hurried.
4 : 6.19 {rHFF} - Great grab by Nothing.
4 : 6.23 {rHFF} - The ball is now with Nothing.
4 : 6.29 {rHFF} - Nothing has wild shot at goal.
4 : 6.35 {rHFF} - Goal!? No. The goal umpire signals it was touched.

4 : 9.3 {lHBF} - The kick seeks out HotPiesWithSauce.
4 : 9.36 {lHBF} - But Nothing is standing in the way and marks.
4 : 9.4 {rHFF} - Nothing looks downfield.
4 : 9.47 {rHFF} - Nothing dummy's the handpass and then takes a bounce.
4 : 9.53 {rHFF} - A long looping handpass to SarahSmiles.

As we reach the end of the nominations, we start seeing a couple of rookies pick them up for 'body of work'. Nothing gets his nomination for Round 16, where he played on a forward flank and got plenty of the footy in a comfortable win over the Gumbies. He failed to kick a major but pulled down 6 marks and had 17 disposals plus a couple of good chasing tackles up the ground.

JuddgementDay (Ophidian Old Boys) ROUND 18 v GCR | Half Back Flank 18 disposals, 2 tackles, 53 DT​

HIGHLIGHTS​

3 : 1.15 {rHBF} - JuddgementDay has it. What can he do with it?.
3 : 1.19 {rHBF} - JuddgementDay bounces the ball.
3 : 1.23 {C} - Gets onto his preferred foot and boots it long.
3 : 1.28 {C} - Robertio runs back with the flight of the ball and takes it!.

3 : 6.18 {FB} - BRAB receives his handpass.
3 : 6.22 {rHBF} - He gets a handpass to JuddgementDay.
3 : 6.26 {rHBF} - JuddgementDay dummy's the handpass and then takes a bounce.
3 : 6.31 {lW} - He rewards the Irish BlueBagger lead.

And picking up our final nomination for Season 37, we have the Old Boys' nuggety defender JuddgementDay. JD got worked out plenty in the Round 18 clash with the Royals, having to keep track of multiple star Gold City forwards and was one of his team's best on the day with 18 disposals.
