I wouldn't put it past Koch to pick a dud just to say "i told you so".
Not hard now as there are no prospective new coaches making any noise.

We missed out on Voss, Kingsley, Hardwick, Lyon, Clarkson, Mcrae during Hinkleys tenor of shite.

Looks like we are stuck with Carr and I don't know if he has the balls to go against Koch and clear out the dead wood in our footy department.

Nothing to see here, bad day at the office, move on.

In any other era of Port Adelaide he would not be coach on Monday (Monday 2017 really, but here we are).

He doesn’t believe himself anymore, looking at the excerpt from the presser.
But it’s not just him that has to go. Koch because of his continual backing over 12 years has to join him together with Davies. I could tolerate Davies remaining if the other two are gone and see how it goes. But I have absolutely zero faith in Koch being part of the selection of a new coach and even less faith of a predestined Carr succession plan.
He looks and sounds like someone who has checked out already. Like someone in an office who’s handed in their notice and is just marking time to their last day to collect their final pay cheque.

He made no attempt to provide any explanation for the appalling capitulation in that game and judging by the brief length of the presser, journos can’t even be bothered trying to get it out of him anymore and cut it short at 5:48 having got nothing of value.

I've sent this message to a few posters this morning, so apologies if you are reading it again, but I woke up angrier this morning than I was last night. I've heard the fraud roll out his excuses in the past, just a bad day at the office, move on, blah blah blah.

In the off-season the fraud was given a brand new ruck and tall defenders which we needed. That first 20 minutes aside, that rubbish we served up was as bad as last year against them. Collingwood turned up the heat and they smashed us. Mick Molloy says Sam Pang's nickname when he played was The Orchid. He could thrive in perfect conditions and wilted otherwise.

That's us, we're orchids. Gets too hot we wilt. Or tropical fish, look beautiful in perfect conditions but if the temperature fluctuates, we die.

It happens again and again. And somehow he always dodges responsibility.

Selection is a joke. McEntee can't be dropped because reasons. Mead is persisted with despite being bog-average on a good day. We lose a couple of key forwards and we play another first ruck who to no one's real surprise was subbed out. Narkle was drafted for no reason, filled no need at all.

I watched Cats v Lions last night and either of those teams would have destroyed us. Tough, contested one on one footy across the ground. Proper finals footy. We hear every year how Geelong are done, and yet they keep coming back like the Terminator.

This whole Daddy thing is sickening. Daddy forgives them every failure and they keep failing. And I'm over the blackmail of But players X, Y, Z will leave if he's not there. Ok, too bad, so sad. Pack your bags and don't let the door hit you on the arse on your way out if you love him so much.

But I call bullshit on that. He will leave and they will move on under a new coach. And if it is Carr, they have to clear out the rest of them. We need a clean slate to start with or we are going nowhere.
Appreciate the passion, but after nearly 10 years of being asked to drink from a punch bowl full of turds as a supporter base we really haven't done anything to demand a change.

Other than Stickerman, I can't think of any effective effort we've made other than a few emails and comments made back to the club when they make the "hey why won't you sign up" calls.

Dixon's constant jibes at the supporter-base just highlights what they think of any member that has an opinion.

Schofield? Would be come back in a post-Hinkley and Cornes world?

"I said 10 or 12 weeks ago: wait until the end of the year. Wait and judge us when we can get all our people that we need on the team playing well together, give us some continuity back together and we can play at a high level."

~ Ken Hinkley 10 September 2021

"I will say this, don't judge us by one game, judge us by the collective."

~ Ken Hinkley 30 September 2021
How he was allowed to escape from this hypocrisy is galling. Even if we (safely) assume that AFL media has no integrity I can't believe no one took this layup against Kane Korner.

I wouldn't put it past Koch to pick a dud just to say "i told you so".
The fact they would be as successful as Hinkley would end up being the ultimate gotcha.

Wow that loss really got to you , you were very calm all year and angry at people who were too pessimistic but just like with OneGreatClub you have unfortunately have lost you're calm the farm switch

I don't think Kenny has believed it for a while but the propaganda machine is not really in full swing to protect him anymore.

They are few Ken Hinkley fans left like but hey usually have a vested interest but after that, it is just hatred, anger, pity, dismay, ambivalence, a whole range of negative emotions.

Even the press conferences are dead. The 'journalists' don't even bother to throw soft ball questions with any real verve anymore. They almost try to hit the ball for Kenny as well.

If and if and only if Kenny's been told that this contract will be his last, that defeat will bring some reality that we probably won't be good enough this year and the scrutiny in the last year will be intolerable. I will say there is always hope and we could turn it around but eleven years says otherwise.

Kenny is like the rotting carcass of a limp greyhound settling into putrefaction and we are all just here to enjoy the smell.

Even I have a limit to tolerating abysmal failure. They finally hit my unacceptability threshold.

I don't mind people being pessimistic, it's the personal attacks on people that don't need to happen.

Completely understandable, I was so passionate for most my life and would go to ammi stadium with horrific colds and give up 100 plus dollars of Sunday rates in 2011 because I never wanted to miss a game even if I was 80 in the hospital now I'm missing my 15th home game in a row 💔 😢

I think he is as surprised as anyone that he's still employed as a head coach.

Our fate was set when the happy clappers couldn't see what was right Infront of them. I, like many others tore up the membership in hope of igniting some change, but in return a bunch of casual fans picked up all of our spots and now use the odd weekend when they're doing nothing to go and enjoy some atmosphere without care of outcome. We've become what we hate, we've become the Adelaide Crows.

(In regards to how the club's run/club culture not actually being a dynasty like the yankees lol)

Who the * is "Kenny"? Can we not refer to him as such? He's not our mate, bro, cool dude, daddy, cute kid.
He's a near 60 year old man who has singlehandedly gained millions from our club under false pretenses enabled by Koch, Davies and Richardson. Fwiw, I think KT had his misguided heart in the right place before the actual rot set in.
Hinkley is a very dark stain on our once great club.

I don't know whether you could say he was outcoached today but what I would say is probably something worse in that because of the gameplan we implement, the game was lost before a ball was bounced.

Collingwood was so confident that their contested ball would eventually override our skills that even a tinny first quarter kicking for goal did not deter them one bit from blowing us out of the water.
I'm just putting it out right here - He was outcoached because he did nothing until the game was gone.
