Say what we like about the Crows (and we do, and it's all true) but at least they aren't afraid to move along underperforming coaches. They would have fired Hinkley in 2017.

Mind you, what has that won them apart from a wooden spoon?

I'm all for ending the reign of Hinkley, but you need the right people making the decisions to make the club Port Adelaide again, and we don't have them in key positions now.

It really is about ruthless professionalism in all areas of the club. Even in recruiting where Cripps is lauded by football observers in general, we have holes in our list that have been allowed to fester for too long.

This is my ambition for Tredrea, he has that ruthless Port mentality to make us the best we can be as a football force. A few could fall by the wayside if Tredders sets about reinstalling old time Port Adelaide.

Do you think that "untenable" call, then only to go on and win 13 in a row made Tredrea recoil a bit with his comments...?

After last year I think he is biding his time to strike.

*Coaches sacked before Kenny (in future years this period will be referred to as years BK)
Thats a list that consists of a lot of coaches that are worse than Kenny. Only three guys in that list got further than Ken has during his career.

One of those three, after he was sacked has seen his old team win a spoon and not play finals since.

Ken needs to go, but a lot of other clubs sack their coach before him because they can't even win home and away games against bottom 10 opponents.

Alistair Clarkson
Damien Hardwick
Hardwick quit because he realised he'd made a mess he didn't want to deal with at Richmond.

Clarkson threw a tanty and quit because the club started to look towards a successor.

Whilst most managers would have been thrilled to secure a trophy, Sir Alex was not happy and said that all of his players - bar defenders Willie Miller and Alex McLeish - were terrible.

"We're the luckiest team in the world, We were a disgrace of a performance," the he said post match.

"Miller and McLeish won the cup for Aberdeen. Miller and McLeish played Rangers themselves. They were a disgrace of a performance.

"And I'm not caring, winning cups doesn't matter. Our standards have been set long ago and we're not going to accept that from any Aberdeen team. No way should we take any glory from that."

This is how a winner talks, & thinks. Ken on the other hand has a loser mentality which transpires to all his players. A loser will say that’s a good 5 goal win, a winner will say it should have been a 6 or 7 goal win.

Grant Thomas makes plenty of good calls tbh his comments about clubs that are not in the premiership business sums us up to a tea.

It was quite funny watching all the Hinkley defenders rush to his defence to blast Grant Thomas when he was critical of Ken. "What gives you the right to question Ken, you didn't win a Premiership. You only got your teams to a Prelim so what do you know" Not much self awareness from the Cult of Ken.

For all the “his players love him!” mythology, imagine him trying to pull off an effective match review and cook players for momentary failings after the usual viral footage of him extensively carrying on like a junior member of the cheersquad who was just gifted a Bertie Beetle showbag.

Makes me sick tbh.

This is all very true but they did acknowledge they needed to do a deep clean to get them back on track, unfortunately they bottomed out but that's what was required.
Sometimes you have to take a step back to go forward.

As it stands at our club we don't have to do that if we act on Ken now, we have the cattle and we all know it but we have to move while our playing stocks are good enough to make a GF.

Not to mention that the two games he has carried on like this most have both been games where we've put in 1-2 quarter efforts

If you’re referring to him commenting on things publicly, it ain’t happening.

That was an absolute given as soon as he was elected to the board, anyone who thinks he’s going to come out publicly torching the place as an elected official is a goose. It wouldn’t be becoming of a board member.

It’s what’s he’s doing behind close doors that matters, we can only hope he’s being as fiercely robust as he made out he would be.

That's because no one takes Rowie seriously. When Tredders talks people take note.
I meant he was calling out the crows sorry. He wasn't talking his usual herp derp dribble like he does with us because he doesn't care. He was asking the right questions about the crows.

At least they'll be lucky enough to bottom out before Tasmania comes in.

Imagine for one second if a miracle occurs and we make it past a Preliminary Final.

Imagine all the back patting and mission accomplished vibes that would go through the joint. Then Hinkley would spend the entire week telling the players how scary Grand Finals are. He played in three losing GFs after all so he’s an expert.

Then imagine the entire media narrative and every pub, workplace etc. conversation being “Remember what happened last time?”
