I'd bet money that happens in any radio or TV interview situation, maybe by the club, maybe by the interviewee.

Imagine if Port functioned like a ‘normal club’ and had more legends and prominent people speaking out like this throughout.

Apart from the odd Jeremy Clayton tweet, we we had to wait 11 seasons for Tredrea to plant a flag in the sand — and he was treated as a lone wolf lunatic by some of his own premiership teammates as a result — and only now are we getting neutrals cottoning on to what we’ve always known:

• ‘fake top-4 team’

Dinner last night at popular city eatery. Loudmouth Restraunter of said eatery frequented often by Port players maintains the following: Only 3 players rate Hinkley, unfortunately they are our best 3 players and is adament Butters will be heading back to a Vic club at some stage.

Makes sense that's why this team doesn't perform in finals when the coach himself is scared of getting the tough questions he should already have the answers to.

He was the right coach to appoint in 2013 when the club had zero expectations but he was probably a long life assistant until that point because he failed his senior coach interviews being unable to put a sentence together as it was too high pressure

I don’t get why they’re interviewing him. It’s pointless. Unless they think the sound of his voice is soothing, there’s absolutely nothing he said that you wouldn’t think he’s already said at some other point to explain we we can’t take the next step. It was basically “we know what we need to do cos us coaches got together and worked it out and now we gotta work harder to get there” Rowe tried in a way to ask Ken “ but do you really have the answers?” Hinkley just blabbed some shit that he’s not going to tell him exactly how they’re going to get better but it’s just about being more consistent which they’re going to work harder at.
It was so farken uninspiring. All fizz then there’s nothing.

Hinkley was an Assistant coach with Blight at St Kilda. Thomas probably sacked Hinkley.
