Whateley basically said “Who else are ya gonna get?”

Lambasting frustrated Port fans for calling for the coaches head, without any plan for what happens after that…is this guy serious?
Lol...the only ones protecting Hinkley are media weasels Kornes and Whateley that no one gives 2 shits about, the others in the media such as Lloyd, King, Leigh Matthews etc know Ken is a dud.

Look I know it's an unpopular opinion; but the longer this goes on, it just makes me sad. Everyone on this forum knows my thoughts on Ken's coaching ability, and how desperately I want him out of my club (go check my post history for a snapshot).

The longer this goes on, the more all the good he has done is over shadowed and replaced by hatred and distaste for the man. If he left a few years ago, he would have been remembered as the one who helped build us out of a terrible hole, as a leader that supported us during our darkest days; but now, he will be remembered as a fraud, an tactically devoid coach and an anti-Port Adelaide person.

He had the opportunity to be celebrated, applauded and fondly remembered - instead, because of his arrogance and selfishness, he will be remembered as a failure and one of the most hated people to wear port adelaide colours. He's made this rod for his own back.

Kane and Whately are weaklings. Watch them change their tune once they realise that the whole tide is against them..

Honestly, the window for him to leave with goodwill passed about five years ago. It’s been and gone.

Either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Zero sympathy.

Sacking Hinkley any day before today was the best move. Sacking him today is the next best move. It is an absolute layup from the points of view of the interest of the club, the demands of the vast majority of the supporter base and just competent administration.

He should have left in 2017. It would have been better for everybody.

The same can be said about Koch and Davies. KT was the only one who realized he had overstayed.

You'd hope they're just negotiating something and the prick can see the writing on the wall. Being the stubborn campaigner he is he probably wants the full payout lol. But surely we can make it unpleasant enough for him that some arrangement can be reached.

What a dork. The fans know nothing, but also it's the fans job to find a replacement. We've had plenty of suggestions over the last 6 years if anyone wanted to listen.

KT leaving was him falling on his sword for Hinkley. Not to mention he then offered to extend his stay after announcing his resignation.

Are alarm bells ringing at Port Adelaide?

Damian Barrett and Josh Gabelich share their thoughts

Barrett in literally consecutive sentences.
It was a deserving extension at the end of last year.
At the start of the year I didn't have them in the 8.

How was it deserving then?

How is Hinkley the only guy in Australia that seems to have a birth right to a $800k+ paying job??

St Kilda is the perfect opponent. When you've lost the players (and he has) there's no coming back. It would be like the Matthew Primus GWS moment.
You underestimate his ability to (gas) light a fire under the bums of these young men and career underachievers to play for him and him only

The Club has been complicit in this. They’ve allowed his arrogance and selfishness to fester by NEVER holding him accountable for his performance. Premature contract extensions. Pissweak KPIs. Radio silence. Twisting facts to fit their reality. That’s all on the Club.

Sure Ken’s a dodgy used car salesman but Port has been an absolute wood duck customer.

Eyes verging on tears and voice quivering, he said "mob" about a dozen times.

Not only does he think it's the job of fans to find a replacement, he and Caro believe it's their job to get Ken another job, too.

I guess in the sense that it was a deserving extension given the ridiculous timeframe that Koch had put on it.

But then we all saw what happened after the extension and it was clear we were going nowhere.

That is the only way his statement makes any sense whatsoever.

Sack Koch. Sack Hinkley.

We could have gone for McRae, Mitchell, Kingsley, Hardwick, Clarkson, Voss (he was right there...) plus god knows how many others.

bUt WhO eLsE iS tHeRe?

It's like they want a premiership coach, who's still got his team performing, to come out mid season and go, ya know what I really want to leave here and coach port Adelaide.

Bottom line is that WE ARE NOT WELL COACHED. So bl@@dy obvious.

That’s the thing.

If the usual suspects defending Hinkley who truly think he’s a fantastic coach and is the best thing going for us are correct, we are in more trouble than the dice in a pop-a-matic bubble.
