Not to dampen anyone’s enthusiasm for making change, but that group comes off as a little unhinged. I hope you’ve got calm heads amongst you who are the ones talking to the media because if not, you could do more harm to the cause than you realise.

We very well know this. The interview will be as professional as possible

Going by the history of the guy who is purportedly going to front the media, I don’t think you do. His connection to Palmer United Party will be used against him, and diminish the legitimacy of the cause.

Well this is just sounding dandy. Hindenburg.
I'm not sure what this group really think this will achieve. My experience with the media (although fairly limited) is that they will have an agenda and that whatever you say in the interview will be selectIvey edited to suit that.

On the TV news a few nights back when asked about Ken Hinkley's reappointment Koch said, 'We would be silly not to make an announcement before the finals'. For me that is the best indication yet that they will reappoint Hinkley. If they make an announcement prior to the finals it is hardly likely to be that Ken will not be reappointed. No Club is going to sack a Coach going into the finals. If Koch had said, We will wait until after the finals, then the decision could go either way but a pre finals decision is only likely to go one way.

An announcement prior to the finals will allow Koch to espouse, in his how good are we fashion , ' We have done what we always said we were goine to do and make a decision in August

I think that sometime before Sept 1 we will get an announcement that Hinkley has been reappointed for a further two years.

I'm extremely concerned about this FB group.
My only concern is that Brazilians authorities may take it as a connection to far-right movements who wish to overthrow the current regime.

I really dislike the regime, but a coup isn’t the answer. I mean, in Brazil. In Alberton, count me in!

What about his other accolades? Did you see them or just jump to the worst one...

I did exactly what the media will do. I googled his name and read the articles that popped up first.

a Facebook group and Channel 9 interviews? what's next an official club petition we all have to sign? that'll get em! Facebook posts from Jordan - "do you want Kenny out? Sad Reacts for No, Love Heart Reacts for yes!"

Cos Cardone wouldn't allow anything to go to air on channel 9 that makes the anti-Hinkley/board people look anything other than a bunch of fringe crackpots.
I'd suggest this whole thing was given the green light by him.

Cos wouldn't - but this is such a small thing that I doubt he's even aware of it.

I just hope the interview doesn't come across as a train wreck on the TV.

have you ever seen anything pro-Port on the TV?

The funniest thing about Koch is how he puts himself up to be this astute businessman. He ran a two bit media organization and was on morning TV where he talks about global economics. He is not that smart a bloke. His decision to make a call on Ken by end of August is one of a littany of dumb decisions he has made over his time.

Unfortunately, he, and most of the board don't know what good looks like. They have not seen it. The CEO is an absolute disaster. Where is he? What on earth does he do?

Fundamentally, Koch sees success as different to most old school Port people. Success is 60k members, 35-40k average crowds, maybe making finals every few years, community programs, AFLW up and running, new facility etc. That is success. Its just miles off where a proper sporting organisation should be. That said, its the reality with Koch, it wont change and its why they will stick with stability and keep Ken. I cant stand Ken either, but you cant really blame him. All feedback he gets is he is doing a great job and they keep renewing him....

Carr will go to some other club and probably win a flag.

All that shit without the ultimate success isn’t sustainable. We’ll lose the supporters that actually made what Port is about and what got us into this “national “ competition in the first place.

But they won't care one iota.
Be glad to see us dead and buried.

Koch will not depart the PAFC until the Alberton Oval redevelopment is complete and he will bask in the reflected glory.
