Seriously, does anyone on our board have any sense of ownership of the cluster**** that this finals campaign was always going to be?

You didn't even have to fire him.

What was the risk? That Gold Coast would steal him?

Hmmmm... who should we go for? The guy who's won 3 flags, or this fat bogan moron who's done nothing for 11 ****ing years. Hmmmm I wonder 🤔

The risk was a bit of bad PR on the off chance that maybe a good player like Butters would pack up his toys and go if Ken did. We're terrified of it. It's why Koch was already spinning how great signing Donuts on was because we've attracted "big names" like Zerk-Thatcher (who?) and why we've already put the media wheels in motion to make Grundy look lazy by not picking us. That's it. That was the risk. But to a tv show host buffoon that's the biggest risk of all.

The irony to it all is nobody gives a shit about Port anyway so good or bad news barely rates a mention outside of a few paragraphs in the advertiser so he's doing a shit job of it anyway.

Most players would get over it straight away if Ken left. However, we need to take the stance that any player, no matter how talented, is free to leave if they’re only at the club because the coach is.

I think the only ones who would give a shit are maybe Dixon who's cooked anyway and wines, who just served up a turd sandwich.

Exactly this.

But even if the literally impossible was to happen and the entire list would go if Hinkley went, who cares? The Donuts/current team combo is not winning a premiership, so we could replace them with a div 8 C grade team and still be in the exact same position, except that div 8 C grade team might not have 11, soon to be 13 years, probably soon to be 15, years of failure behind them.

I go to the footy to watch Butters, Rozee, JHF types and would happily give them all away if that's what it took to boot Donuts. Who gives a shit at this point

Last night when debating with one of the happy clappers we were told that “Ken has the players, they all love him and play for him”, which aside from being dumb considering what they’d just served up, also ignores that Ken is all most of these players know.

If any player fears the unknown as much as to only want to play for Ken then they’re never going to be successful footballers and can leave when he does. No one is untradeable when it’s an issue of attitude and getting rid of loser culture.

Hey, remember when Koch scoffed at Tredders’ comments and dismissed them as performative bait for his podcast?

The chairman of the Port Adelaide Football Club did that.

To its most recent premiership captain and AFL-era inductee to the Australian Football Hall of Fame.

And regardless of whether they agreed with Tredrea or not, nobody with any sort of prominent voice — tied to Port or otherwise — called Koch out for such a petty display of disrespect.

Unbelievably Connected™.

They are connected...... everyone at the club is connected to the idea that they're right and 11 years of evidence is wrong. That's why they've labelled die hard fans who grew up with the proper Port Adelaide 'white noise'. They've had players say the same about the die hard fans. That's indefensible in my opinion. You don't cast aside a large section of your supporters. The same philosophy that you don't cast aside a club legend like Tredrea.

They've created a club culture that applauds effort, and trying and not winning. Hinkley can say that we failed cause we didn't win the Premiership like he did post game, but it's hollow due to the evidence of the past 11 years.

The comment by Hinkley pre finals that finals are scary is an instant red flag. He put his fear of failure onto the playing group, and it's not the first time he's done it. He admitted he did it in 2013 at half time against Geelong in the semi-final, and he did it in 2021 against the Bulldogs. But that all gets ignored by our board.

It's a long way back for the club to be at the same stage again next season, and it's an even longer road for the fans to trust this club again while they continuously make the same mistakes.

Port Adelaide President David Koch has refused to rule out replacing Port Adelaide Coach Ken Hinkley with the cash cow, now that he has more time to focus on his team following his standing down as Sunrise host.

“I’m not afraid of making the hard calls as President, like building a wall around our home ground to keep out the Victorians,” said Kochie. “I respect Ken Hinkley and admire him, but as a President I want results and so far Kenny hasn’t delivered.”

“The cash cow on the other hand he always delivers and costs a fraction of what we pay Kenny.” When asked what knowledge of football the cash cow has Kochie replied: “He’s a cow, what more does he need to know. I mean the footballs are made from cow leather, not Hinkley leather.” The (un)Australian reached out to current Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley for comment but he was out of the office chasing some Suns.

Did Koch actually say white noise? I'm sure I remember him alluding to outside noise when obviously referencing supporters and I remember Jonas making the white noise comment.

koch is completely compromised imo.
He is scoffing at and snubbing at all the "whitenoise" for the preservation of his own little kingdom.
Underneath he knows that our clubs history demands results on the field and the outcry against his well established levels of mediocrity will grow louder if he cant shut it down.
If hinkley had a shred of decency he would resign and just walk out. The arrogance of these guys is deeply troubling to say the least.
