All hot air and promises that will see the country fall over before any stimulus hits the accounts of those that need it.
Too little too late as usual.

Most of the stimulus is rubbish. Either locked up in red tape like the business wage support payments or are outright dangerous for the economy (super withdrawals). We need cash in the economy now, they initial measures haven’t been legislated yet. Praying to God isn’t going to cut it Scomo.

The business payments won’t start until 28th April. FMD it’s over a month away. Thousands of businesses will be dead by then. Way way too slow and way way too much red tape. This situation changes rapidly every week, let alone in five weeks.
The fiscal stimulus has been poorly thought out, stop hoping to businesses give the money to employees and go direct. I can tell you that the current plans won't save one job in the company I work in.

When are we going to hear an apology from Morrison for using the ALP's response to the GFC to batter them with for ten years, where's that lickspittle Chris Kenny moaning about economic vandalism?
He's too busy whining about the ABC/climate change

I am loathed to defend Morrison but its the state governments that organise lock downs which wouldn't be needed if Morrison had shut the borders sooner.
We acted far too slowlyand softly but imagine how much better things would be if China hadn't bullied/bribed the WHO and other nations into.leaving their borders open for the CCPs flu to spread. It won't happen but the Chinese Govt should be up for trillions in compensation to the rest of the world and the entire leadership of WHO investigated for corruption.

The personality of a house brick. As popular as a fart in a spacesuit. He sold out his own union members for lower pay to gain political benefit for himself.

Next.
In a crisis you need two things in a leader.

He/she has to be willing to listen to the experts and act swiftly on their advice.

And he/she has to have the trust of the populace when they introduce drastic, unpalatable measures.

Morrison has built his entire political success on putting schitte on qualified experts.

(Climate change? What climate change?)

The RBA was telling him halfway through last year that he needed to unleash some stimulus. Morrison instead fetishised an economically-meaningless budget surplus till now, and when he did move, it's roughly a tenth of what the experts say is needed.

We now know that Morrison was warned 12 weeks ago by the WHO what was coming with Coronavirus, and he did nothing. He decided not to accumulate test kits, not to accumulate the necessary emergency equipment, or mount a public education campaign until now.

And as to trust?

It's now pretty clear his own office was involved in giving out $100 million in corrupt grants.

His own office lied about his whereabouts during the bushfire catastrophe.

As immigration minister he crowed about having "stopped" the boats and we now know that tens of thousands were coming in by plane under his watch.

Given that, tell me, why would anyone trust Morrison?

In fact, it's pretty hard to imagine who could be a worse person to be in charge of the country right now.

What exactly in Shorten's track record would match those massive blunders and manifold instances of outright dishonesty, or at best, dumb bloody-mindedness?

(BTW just because "Shifty Shorten" is an alliteration, doesn't actually mean he is shifty.)

He also said that cruise ships would be banned from entering for 30 days..now 4 have been given the go to dock and disembark.

You have to be ******* kidding.
What about the fact that he recommended no crowd (over 500?) functions to go ahead starting last Monday and surprise his Hillsong Church in NSW held a Conference the day before (on the Sunday) with over 3000 attending, many from overseas.

Hate to live in NSW right now.

Being a Liberal means never having to say you're sorry.

Must be a pretty smug feeling (if you're the sort of underformed personality that gets off on that sort of schitte).

But it's no way to run a country.

Would have loved to be a fly on the wall when he heard about Vic and NSW going into lockdown.
It was raised by one of the journalists in the press conference this morning.

To be honest, this morning was his best performance as PM by a long way. Yes, arguments can be had around the nature of the stimulus/safety net package, but he finally started to show traits of being a good leader in a crisis. Gone was the smug condescension, replaced instead by bipartisanship and a sense of collaboration. It might not last long, but at least it was something.

Probably knew it was coming a few days ago. I hear that the plan was to wait until school holidays but thanks to the blatant disregard shown at Bondi and at pubs and clubs around town has brought the decision forward a week.

It wasn’t a bad performance and some of the stimulus measures are good. But the states acting on their own is a vote of no confidence in his leadership. He has missed the opportunity to go hard early by caring more about the economy (which is obviously vital) than the health issue.

If wrong will you never listen to these people (you know who they are) .... do you like being used?

It was confirmed. His kids never went to school last week. They were sick, apparently, and would be returning to school this week.

He will close schools this week.
Scomo is a dangerous liar.

Was it 100% confirmed ?

@PatsKarvelas

A few people asking asking how I KNOW this to be true. This is what the PM’s office says. I don’t audit kid’s schools.

@PatsKarvelas

It is not true. The Prime Ministers children will be at school on Monday and are not being home schooled. They have been ill and at home. Everyone should keep sick kids home.

The 'it's not true' referring to Scomo's kids being home schooled.

Does seem rather convenient. The sports rorts affair I know nothing was a bit hard to believe as well

More weasel words by Scomo.
In his presser last week he never said his kids were at school, he said he would 'send his kids to school' and that his kids were 'enrolled'.
