He's not a newly elected opposition leader hoping to scramble together a shadow cabinet and opposing for the sake of it.

He's the Prime Minister in waiting and squibbed a moment to lead.

There are about 12 people in the nation who oppose freely available RATs - 11 of them own pharmacies, and the other one is Rowan Dean.

It's a no brainer.
Taking a firm stance gives the Coalition their classic out in fairness

Big difference between a couple of houses (negatively geared rentals) & 'They don't just buy a house they buy big parcels of land to build rentals. My friends and negative gearing that's what they tell me.'

With respect you dont appear to understand whatever it is they told you.
What are you on about, it's obvious what I said there was no connection between my friends and big investors they clearly aren't big investors.

Why do you keep trying to change the subject away from your claim that the people making money are usually younger or foreign? For some reason you keep talking about your mates' personal circumstances instead.

And yes, you do need Google to find some things out, because even if you were answering my question, your friends aren't the sum total of people in the nation. If my friends were all tap dancers, would it be realistic for me to extrapolate from that and say Australia is a nation with huge numbers of tap dancers?
You keep bringing up my friends.

There's an explanation for why Albanese's response to that question wasn't an emphatic "Yes":

1. Scared of donors;
2. He's incompetent; or
3. Both

Small target attitude. He's basically going "yes it should be" in a really quiet voice.

So basically people are now angry with Labor for saying tests should be free, but didn't say it in the way they like

Okay
Did he, though? He only said he had no problem with it being free. Both he and Chalmers avoided saying that a government they lead would make them free. That was a chance to take a stand and look strong on the issue, and it has been squandered.

Okay

Basically, no, that's not what I'm saying.

If Albanese thought his answer(s) tonight were sufficient as part of an overall election strategy then Labor aren't winning.

What a ******* surprise

Morrison is to petrified to go on the ABC = free pass
Albo goes on = crucify him because his "yes" was not emphatic enough

Literally the only thing conservatives do is deflect away form their own pathetic ineptness.

It's incredible how people are hypercritical of everything Labor does, yet the LNP can get away with literal rape in parliament and no one bats an eyelid

You do understand that this is a thread where the overwhelming number of posters despise Morrison and call him out constantly for his crap?

That includes me.

But I'll be buggered if I'll accept more crap just because it is a nicer hue of beige.

Simply not good enough at a time when this country is crying out for strong resolute leadership.
