Best Thread of the Season (Non-Match threads)
This was ever so tight but there can be only one thread and congratulations to big_icky on the S37 List Assessment & Posting Stats + S34-36 catch-up Thread. Truly, a wonderful thread that obsessed over the very numbers we centre this place around. Well done.

Happy Well Done GIF by Top Talent

Some words from serial_thrilla and Greenery
Big_icky is a serial_thrilla clone which is good because serial lost his spark ever since he failed to win the beez and invested himself into bringing down his own club

I hope one day that serial_thrilla can move on from this and get the help he needs

In previous seasons of this league, elite Sweet personalities such as Ant Bear, WaynesWorld19 and serial_thrilla have leveraged the Posting Stats media concept to attract adoration and acclaim from their peers as they used the data to measure league activity, whilst also massaging the statistics to suit their narrative.

In Season 37 Dragons sophomore big_icky has joined them, as he not only used the data to take pot-shots at the struggling Gumbies, but also to fill in the black hole of nothingness that resulted from former admin Kennedy Parker's desire to mask the frighteningly sharp decline in league activity under his watch.

Interestingly enough, this all came about initially because former Dragons captain Greenery was too lazy to track the Dragons posting stats this season, so he delegated the work to one of his minions. Luckily for the disgraced skipper, Icky saw the data piling up in his spreadsheets and couldn't get enough of it.

Congratulations big_icky you beez whore.
Nice edit Clarkey.

Season 37 was a real "coming of age" period for Dragons sophomore player big_icky, as he seemingly continued the trend of the EKA runner-up out-performing the winner in subsequent seasons.

His likeable demeanor in match threads has now been complimented by a surprisingly deep foray into league record keeping, and many people in Sweet have clearly started to take notice.

With a style compared to the likes of serial_thrilla and Barrybran (SerialBran?), icky demonstrated his flair for spreadsheets, graphics and giving a helping hand to his club and the league alike, whilst a discernible appreciation for the history of the league has also become clear.

His weekly update of The List™ caused great consternation as player names were mysteriously whittled down throughout the season, and his Sweet FA 90s Style Shield Logos drew many admirers (especially from Mobbs); but it was his undertaking of the superb S37 Rising Star, S37 Positional Stats and S37 List Assessment & Posting Stats + S34-36 catch-up that really made him stand out from the crowd.

Clearly there are signs that this young German lad is a future leader of the league. Well done icky!

Noticed a like react from Jabba73

Were the Bombers invited to this event? Or do they have to sneak in through the backdoor? Gaze through the windows?
Their skipper is in the Top 20, so I think they're obliged to attend.

As is tradition before we unveil the top 2, it's time now to take a look at last placed.

This extraordinary achievement for this poster should never be forgotten. Achieving an impressive -448 votes, Brian Oblivion finishes his Season 37 in absolute style achieving the lowest score in the history of the Beez. Finishing in 304th place and dead last, we pay tribute tonight to Brian and well done on an unsuccessful Season 37 Beez Trophy award.

2. Tonga Bob
PBg6Mh5.png
"Who would have thought the sequel would be just as good as the original?" - Anthony Hudson describing a similar sport in an inferior league. Well, if Huddo was commenting on the Sweet FA, he'd be rolling out the line regularly to describe Qooty's greatest Tongan- Tonga Bob.

There's little to say about Bob that hasn't been said before in the past few beez ceremonies. He remains a fabulous and prolific match thread poster totalling the eighth most posts this home and away season. Bobby also hasn't lost his knack of comparing opposition clubs or previous moments in history to pop culture or indeed just Simpsons analogies'. Now in his fifth season as captain of the persimmon (an equal club record), his captaincy continues to go from strength to strength as the Warriors make up for limited sim success with a passionate and firing posting unit.

As usual, Bob oversaw another successful McInnes Prize and another examination of the league's biggest soft floppers and hard arse legends in the weekly Bob's Stats free kick analysis. This season though, Bob created one of the most excellent resources- Sweet Shoop School. A place for people to both share their knowledge and grow their visual imagery game. In true Bob style, he took an unfinished kernel of an idea and turned it into a whole lush cornfield.

Maybe Bob's greatest continuing contribution of all though, is his continued evasion of GWS Goose's questions regarding his age. Anything good natured that causes mild frustration for the Goose is a good thing, right?!?

After another elite season, it's no surprise to see you place 2nd. One hopes you get to enjoy a Master's Spearmint to celebrate another fine season very shortly indeed.

Ladies and gentlemen, your Season 37 beez Trophy winner is none other than the everybody’s favourite bird of prey, Falconista.

With his status in the league cemented long before now, saluting here in the S37 beez Trophy count to claim his first beez surely solidifies Falconista as one of the most prominent & prolific figures in our game, as he now adds the beez Trophy to a long list of honours in what has been a meteoric rise this past 12 months.

Premiership skipper, 2 time Frankston Rover Award winner and now beez Trophy winner, Falconista has all the tricks in his kit bag and now has the silverware to match.

His 1510 votes this season is the best tally since Headless ’ record haul in S33, as he becomes just the 2nd Gumbies player to win this prestigious honour following in the footsteps of his predecessor, former Gumbies skipper Barrybran who saluted back in S31.

It has been a steady and unwavering climb up the beez rankings for the Gumbies skipper, having finished runner up in S36, 5th in S35 and 8th back in S34 in just his second season in the competition.

But perhaps the most impressive element of his win here is the largely selfless way he has gone about it.

From faithfully honouring the legacy of procuring quality ladders week in, week out having built on the outstanding service of league legends Ljp86 & Broken in this space, he has also quietly assumed ownership over the Sweet FA tipping competition in recent seasons and once again tirelessly ensured a smooth operation to add to the experience of many other players in the league, even regularly tagging those tardy tippers amongst us who rely on his metronomic consistency to keep us engaged.

Not only this, but he has performed admirably as Gumbies skipper in recent seasons leading on from Barrybran ’s resurrection job to set the Gumbies on a path to securing their future, and in his spare time he produces outstanding high quality media for us all to consume at a time when a dearth of media sees the offerings become leaner and less engaging by the season.

The highlight on the media front was arguably his $weet $alary $peculations piece perfectly timed for the beez season, but he was also a big driver behind the scenes for the well received Sweet School of Shoop resource that didn’t quite come to fruition, as well as celebrating his clubmates in style with quality milestone threads in their recognition, a mark of the calibre of his leadership and the quality of his media production.

And not only all of that, but he genuinely comes across as a bloody good bloke too. And he’s probably hung like a moose too (like all beez winners), builds schools in third world countries and walks little ladies across the street when he’s not coaching inner city youths the value of teamwork.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please charge your glasses to the Season 37 beez Trophy winner…

Falconista!!
