First half good. Second half bad.

Overall we need to be able to arrest momentum. Lock down the stoppage. Take the sting out of the momentum. Repeat stoppages.

What about the first half was good for you?

The chant “We are Essendon” rings so tragically true. We are precisely what we are, and so shall that remain until we undertake a massive cultural shift at every level of club operations.

I just can’t understand the Weideman selection.

It’s very difficult to justify paying into memberships at this point. But I will continue and it’ll burn every week I watch this shit truck organisation turn out the same old shit.

We controlled the game. Our pressure was on point. Obviously didn't put it on the board but every other aspect was good.

Anyone else at give up point - be it with the team, the club, or the sport in general?

I’ve thought I’ve been there for a while - but I watch these games with no emotion. Theres just no enjoyment to be had.

We either don’t show up at all (see St Kilda game) or we do genuinely try but just our style, skills, ability looks embarrassing, and teams when they want to try just laugh at us.

Theres only so long you can give as a supporter. To those that say “You’re not a true fan if that’s your belief” id ease up. We have been incredibly loyal. I’d argue more loyal than anyone else. But there’s a limit. Theres more important things in life.

Do you think that was us? Or the typical swans slow start and poor form.

A big off season as they simply can’t go with that backline in 2025. Panic merchants and don’t know how to defend as a group.

We had a look at Weideman, he ain’t it.

As others have said, make some calls. This ain’t anywhere close to a finals ready team.

Put Parish, Stringer and Hobbs on the market.

And no more Jake Kelly, he’s beyond woeful. We can’t improve if he is in the team.

First half good, 2nd half weak as sheite

I've got a 19yo son who has never ever played footy who i reckon iI could teach how to kick for goal and how to hit a target inside 50 -SERIOUSLY!

We're EssenDEAD if 2 of the Dogs, Blues and Hawks win

Why the FRUIT did we sub Bryan when he was more effective around the ground than Draper the Spud butcher?

Loved the efforts of Roberts and Jye. Marto we do not deserve. McGrath was the Spuddiest of the Spuds

The only positive to come from today is that with Dodo gone, we actually have a chance at eventually building an actually competitive AFL list.

We are genuinely about 6-7 years off that right now though, it's gonna take years to get rid of all the duds he's drafted and all the ****ed contracts he's given out.

On a related subject, is McGrath the worst VC in the competition? I watched him closely at the ground and while his disposal was predictably shit, what really stood out was how many times he was out of position and jogging.

If "lead by example" was a trait I'd look for in a vice captain, I would take a literal bag of shit over him because at least it might stick to a player.
He’s meant to be a leader in defence but the absence of Hep has exposed him as a ****ing pretender. He’s tactically deficient. His organisational ability is negligible.

I had hopes he’d cement himself as the premier small defender this year but he’s let me down badly. If all he provides is off-field leadership we might as well recruit Joel Selwood and have him attend hangar session as he’d provide more ****ing on-field direction from there than McGrath does on the ****ing ground.

That’s how pissed off and let down by Andy I am this year.

We never take our chances. A good team would have been 5-6 goals up at half time with the ball we had.

5 minutes into the third we were done. Turnovers again killed us. Redman had 2 in a minute early.

Kelly never moves the ball on quickly, always stops and props until all players are covered. Need some speed coming out of the backline.

Roberts makes better decisions than 90% of our team.
