Re: Selecting a ruckmen at pick 8
I'm still happy if the club thinks Gorringe is a good thing. Hille will be gone in a few seasons, leaving Paddy and T-Bell. Whilst HFF comments have made me warm a little towards T-Bell, I still think you have to question if we'd be better with him or Gorringe in the side.
With the new ruck rule coming in, how much value would T-Bell/Gorringe add in other positions - if Paddy is the dominant of the 2 rucks?
According to Norwood's development manager Gorringe looks like an onballer in cone to cone drills; could he play as a tall wingman? T-Bell appears to me only to be able to double as a power forward, and surely we should have enough of those? T-Bell might have to overtake Paddy for the number one ruck role?
Sorry to get back to discussion, but we've got 2 outstanding ruckman (Hille and Ryder) and 1 strong up n comer (Belltower), so why another ruckman?
Especially seeing as the new interchange rule means having more than 1 ruckman in the side is risky
