Everyone's always a chance, but who do you replace out of the 5? Doveton 6-7 more games with Robbo (they'll win majority with injured players returning aswell) & Yarra are impossible to beat at home - both those a game clear, Hills are the ones you will catch but their 2games clear & beat Hallam already who lyndale lost round 4 (I think by 19 goals) so that's a 2 game swing already.
It's a close year besides the 1-2 sides, Lyndhurst had ashwood on ropes, maybe they sneak in ?

Did you just say south Yarra are impossible to beat at home?

Its good people write us off. Dunno why we would be the most likely to fall out? Carrying on about lyndhurst and they got to within 20 of ashwood.

EH play Ashwood South Yarra away and then Lyndhurst in the next three weeks. That's a tough run in anyone's book. To lock in finals they need to win at least two of those. Lose two and they most likely find themselves outside of the 5 at that point. Nobody, EH or not, can afford to drop too far behind in such a close season.

Lyndale - 40 points. Morrabbin showed a bit a few weeks ago against South Yarra and looked to be on the improve, but have since dropped off again significantly. Lyndale have plenty to play for here, and should be too good. The Kangaroos conceded over 40 scoring shots last week, so Kumetaitis and S.Rainey should be amongst the goals again; although I'm sure the Pumas would love another to step up and kick a few.

Ashwood - 22 points. The two most in form teams in the competition going at it this week, and should be a ripping contest. As always when playing at Barry Simon Res. it will be won and lost in the midfield. Ashwood should win it here, but the Falcons have a bit to prove and will be out to show they are real contenders. Peake's return home will be critical, can he continue his goal-kicking form?

Hallam -120 points. Hallam will be far too good here. Dandenong are battling hard and look to have improved steadily, but it won't be anywhere near enough to challenge. Will Hallam take the opportunity to rest a few of their guns? Of concern is that after Mackay and Neve, Hallams goal scoring for the season is quite thin, I'm sure their coaching staff would love to see one of the Atkins or Sigeti kick a big bag. Props to them for not picking Thomas for not training against Doveton, shows a bit about where they are at as a Club off-field.

South Yarra - 5 points. Huge match for both Clubs. Yarra can slot themselves into third with an EH loss, whilst Lyndhurst can put themselves firmly into finals contention if they get the points. This will be a great match to watch, and you can expect a really physical, tight, defensive contest, but I can just see South Yarra have a bit too much creame at the top for the Lightning to contain for four quarters. Can't wait to see who wins!!

Doveton - 70 points. Regardless of injuries and unavailability, Doveton are the better team and will win comfortably. Their engine room is keeping them alive and the two Wilsons will be dominant. It will be interesting to see if Ramsdale come in after being in the best last week, and could add something once all the stars come back. Can the Cobras pinch a win? Most, most likely not, but imagine the fallout if they did.....

Carrum - 10 points. Last chance for both Clubs here. Lose and it's curtains for 2017. In a toss of the coin choice, is have to go with CPL. Despite a good win against the Pumas last week, the facts are that Dalton is their leading goal kicker with 8 goals from 5 matches this season. That is a really damning stat and speaks volumes about how their season has panned out so far. In comparison CPL have Tyler Neal and Jarrad Kennedy who have kicked 14 from 6 and 13 from 4, respectively. I expect this firepower up forward to be the key difference this week.

Big week of footy and I cannot wait to see who gets the point!

First of all very well written summary, Peake hardly set the world on fire typical he bullies the bottom side he will be lucky to kick 1 against his old side & he's still not the fittest going around either so we'll ready for the Joe the gooses as well. Ashwoods wins have been against the bottom sides of the ladder with exception of Yarra, EH by plenty.

Who is and co? Only a couple on our list that are near retirement

Rick O must be 33 odd & can't run either, Juddy as usual just plays out the back for the easy kick, Mahony was good at St Kilda city well past it, Nelson,Stanton too big, Forsyth if you do win the flag there's 6 odd that will retire.

Lyndale to beat moorabbin 12 points
Ashwood over Endeavour Hills by 40
Hallam 30 points over Dandenong
Sth Yarra 18 points over the Lightning
Doveton eagles 100+ Vs Sandown
Black Rock by 1 point Vs CPL

Gav hasn't played last 3 or so seasons and is absolutely killing it... stronger and faster than anyone his size, and well and Trully knows what he's doing
Stantons 26 years old Nelson 29...
if we do win definitely a couple retirements but can always build on our side as we did this year
Wouldn't call it premiership or bust like some

Standard endeavour hills once a player leaves they just bad mouth ya

Webby walked out because he can't coach, he didn't have what it takes to coach his own side in he's own right, goes' to show having higher levels of coaching certificate mean jack %hit when it comes down to the nitty gritty of coaching.

Don't forget their coaches as well as per Gregs smack on Webby, of course AFTER he dumped them.

Broksy also had a crack at a canteen lady who left criticising her Dim Sim cooking skills even though she cook '00s for him including free travellers.

No one is safe once they pass the Exit sign up in them hills. .

I guess it shows the class of the people from endeavour

Nobody really dominating on the scoreboard at the EHills vs Ashwood was an eye-opener, given the quality of both teams' forwardlines. Batson best on for Hills; the guy is a gun and will go close in the league B&F.

Also hearing that Sigeti from Hallam kicked 9.9 with a few falling short, with Robertson from Doveton kicking 6.13 and passing off plenty. Incredible stats, regardless of the quality of the opposition.

Did I hear right that Shane Thomas played thirds yesterday? Must have a shocking attitude
Correct. Borderline 2's players have been complaining about missing out on a game because of a bloke that doesn't train, so they dropped him to the thirds.
Great stance by the club.
I bet he gets on the track as finals get closer!

Surely if that keeps up he will be on the move before clearances stop!

Sorry m8 that's not correct that they have been complaining well not to any of the coaching staff anyway there will always be someone that thinks they should be getting a game above someone else that's football clubs in general Shane has a few personal issues to sort out before he will be back in the seniors he was going to train last week but didn't so he was put to the thirds as we weren't sure if he was going to play on the weekend when he was in the seconds everyone was happy to have him there as well all we want is to keep him playing football at the moment so he isn't lost to the game as he's young and very talented player but he needs to be in the right frame of mind and to be committed first before he starts playing ones again and he said Saturday that he is now so we will leave it up to him now

Not good, Kudos to the players that are sticking fat but very worrying signs to only get 7 players to training.

Lets hope they can turn it around very soon before it gets too hard and shut up shop. Hopefully it doesnt get this.
Credit to the sandown guys who stuck around after the game in good numbers.
Staggering to think they had 2 thirds sides and a pretty strong senior side not long ago. Really is a tough slog in some of these older suburbs to stay competitive
