Just a thought, surely the SFNL can’t charge a finals gate for Div 4? Let’s be frank, it’s a competition made of sides who couldn’t make the finals in Div 3 - which apart from Clubbies in the VAFA was apparently the worst standard of footy in Melbourne......

I would suggest that Hampton Park were the Tyabb if the SEFNL. Whipping boys and won one or two in a few seasons, potentially Tyabb were winless. May put a few things into perspective about the comp Hampton Park have come from?

A fair point.

Don’t know much about Tyab.

I’d suggest that the top half of last years SFNL div 3 would have destroyed hp of last year. Would’ve been a 100+ margin.

Different beast this year

10-12 goals across a 3/4 game. Some positive signs but a lot to still work on. Wasn’t a disappointing result.

Regardless of the real score they got pumped by a side who have struggled to win any games the last few years.

So a bottom club from what was last year a strong, single division competition flogs a fledgling club from the 4th division of another competition. Despite their recent struggles several Tyabb players would not be out of place in SFL Div 1 so why would anyone be surprised by a lop sides score line.

Not sure what it proves other than good on Lyndhurst for wanting to test themselves against what was obviously going to be superior competition.

I wouldn't read too much into it, it'd be more about Tyabb getting a much needed easy victory after several years of being on the other end of them. Good for Lyndhurst to test themselves I reckon

Who'd you play?

Played Coldstream at home.
6 quarter game due to the weather forecast.

First 3 quarters were quite competitive only going down by 4 points.
The senior match was not easy to watch, Coldstream won it by 14 goals.
First of the 3 quarters was tight but after that they were too good on the spread.

Whilst it doesn't look good it was a good hit out against a well more credentialed and more resourced opponent.

Are Lyndale a big chance this year?
Who would be the team to beat in Div 4?
