didak was better than ever after his little slip up, he owes you guys majorly, but, if he doesnt turn it on this year he's a goner, IMO even then it could be just looked upon as increasing his trade value.

IMO, in 3 months time this will all be forgotten, footy season will be on us, Gilbert and Reiwoldt will have patched up their differences and BF flogs will have another storm in a teacup controversy to Jack off over. With or without Dal Santo involved.

You're painting the worst case scenario.

Riewoldt has committed no crime, if anything his stock will be boosted by this as he will be seen as the innocent victim, which he is. The way he was up front at the press conference, dismissed it all as garbage and was vindicated by the evidence, gave him the high ground.

If Tiger Woods can survive his scandal than Riewoldt can survive this, he is still more marketable than any of the players at Collingwood.

I don't know why every time there is a headline people want players sacked. If a player causes issues withing the club then he should be sacked for the good of the team. It's a football decision first and foremost.

If Gilbert had fronted up to the media with Riewoldt and just answered questions all would be good. Releasing statements is p*** weak.
I don't think he's served his penance for this. Perhaps first 3 weeks of the season in the 2's as your standard punishment these days should do it. Dal Santo gets off the hook too. Nice to see these 2 leaving their captain out to dry. Weak from both, but especially Gilbert.
