Injury prone players do not exist. It’s all luck

Because saying there isn’t a significant amount of bad luck involved in our injury run is patently false
I literally spelt out how 9/14 were bad luck - the injuries to McGovern, Naitanui, Cole, Shuey and Winder weren’t included in that 9
Cripps is older but wasn’t injury prone and his ankle break had zero to do with his age
Chesser’s leg got caught and twisted underneath him so I’m not sure how that isn’t bad luck. Even if you want to claim otherwise it still leaves over half of the injuries being collision related and nothing other than bad luck
I mean it’s easy to pot the club at the moment given our W/L record but at least consider that there are genuinely things contributing to our woes that are outside the club’s control
I'm not sure it's necessarily "potting the club" to suggest there's more to the injury situation than just luck.
Could be the grounds, could be an injury prone list, could be bad injury management. None of us really know, but to have an all time injury list 2 years in a row probably suggest there's more to it than just luck
Again, I'm not sure why so defensive at the suggestion
Being optimistic, hopefully Hewett is only out for a few weeks, and he can have a few strong weeks in the WAFL before getting back into the senior team halfway through the season.
Edit: He's apparently in a moonboot.
Injuries are essentially the same as last year just without covid.
Well he did play 3 games. Yes 2 were the sub but he had almost a full game against Freo. The decisions we make sometimes baffles me, why was Hewett dropped after his first game? Just play him ffs, don't care if he doesn't get near it. Give him a few games to adjust, not like we're playing finals.
Stupid decisions honestly, now he's injured.
I injure myself every time I attempt controlled training or exercise these days.Am I naive to think that training is supposed to be a controlled environment?
Yeah one full game, so why are we dropping him? we werent even playing him in his natural position, we should be pumping games into our first round picks not playing them in the WAFLWell he did play 3 games. Yes 2 were the sub but he had almost a full game against Freo.
What?Starting to think Jnr. had valid reasons to want out. Poorly run and unprofessional.
What?
And key officials presiding over historic levels of failure have tenure for life.Quite amazing how this run of this "bad luck" seems to be effecting us most weeks, and most months for the past few years.
But, nothing to see here
Because he is not fit or developed enough to run out AFL games yet, especially in the midfield.Yeah one full game, so why are we dropping him? we werent even playing him in his natural position, we should be pumping games into our first round picks not playing them in the WAFL
Yeah, sorry about that. It's the apologists here that grind my gears the most. You know who you are.
Melt like proper campaigners ffs
The Eagles do keep on reviewing it they are running a complete different program this year. The hiring of Mark Kilgallon is part of addressing it.It’s training methods, preparation, injury management, facilities and luck all come into it. This season isn’t the worst for it to happen but it can’t keep happening long term. For the club to put its head in the sand and say it’s bad luck would be ridiculous. The whole S&C program should be reviewed.
