Official injury list (10) released 20/8

Season (10) :
• Noah Long (Knee)
• Elijah Hewett (Foot)
• Tyler Brockman (Ankle)
• Callum Jamieson (Ankle/Knee)
• Dom Sheed (Foot/Hamstring)
• Luke Edwards (Concussion)
• Josh Rotham (Abdominal)
• Tom Barrass (Back/Hamstring) - Was 1-2 weeks
• Jeremy McGovern (Thumb) - New

It’s the last game of the season so all players are now listed as out for the season

Chesser and Burgiel have both been removed from the list after recovering from their respective injuries

Andrew Gaff has retired and won’t be available to play

The players have returned for the new year and we have our first injury update for the year

Welcome again to Groundhog Day

Cliffs :

• Ryan to have scans on a hamstring injury this morning. Right leg this time as opposed to the left leg he had surgery on last year.
• Burgiel also some hamstring tightness on the opposite leg he had operated on. Considered to be more of a minor issue than Ryan’s
• Rotham has some groin tightness of unspecified severity
• Sheed is out of his moonboot and will start running in the next week or two. Pushing for R1
• Hewett is ready to resume training and will be slowly integrated back into the main group
• Ginbey is ready to start back with the main group after being held back a bit due to the work he did following hamstring surgery and his tendency to push himself so hard

Just to add to the above article though the following players weren’t mentioned but aren’t in full training

• Culley is still in rehab for his knee but signs are he’s progressing well
• Archer Reid is in a knee brace to deal with an issue he arrived at the club with
• Jamieson trained away from the main group pre Christmas but from other’s observations has begun reintegrating with the main group since the break

I genuinely hope this thread doesn’t get much traffic this year but I won’t be holding my breath

Hamstring tendon damage for Ryan, going for surgery

Set for an extended stint on the sidelines

There is never a good time to get injuries. However, if 9 weeks of recovery are prior to round 1 it isn't the worst scenario.

Our medico staff, with no pre season and them hoping he's back by 'the first few rounds of the season' his season is pretty much shot already. Watch him play two games and re-injure himself.

Spoken like a true rationalist.....yes, it's a bummer, but on the bright side we've got Brockman, Long, Johnston, Jones, Dewar and Rawlinson ready to go, so it probably ain't that bad.

So are we gonna consider going SSP route?

Given they’re aiming for a return in the opening rounds, whatever that might mean, it’s unlikely we open up a spot for a SSP signing
