You are saying this like it's fait accompli. What evidence is there other than a few posts on a footy forum?

Well if it’s not true, if we keep Voss it could at least then be shown that this is all on them as a playing group and there is no out for them by a coach being sacked that will absolve them this time.

Of course it is on the playing group - they are the ones missing tackles, missing kicks, allowing their direct opponents to run free, missing set shots, missing handballs - there isnt a coach in Aussie kick that asks their players to miss any of that - let alone an AFL coach.

Wakey wakey - Carlton's list is just not up to it - simple as that. It peaked last year prior to the mids all getting injured and hasn't been the same since.

The list isn’t that bad, but it also isn’t that good, you are right there are holes and it’s fallen apart like a house of cards with our top players down on output from last year, and things have snowballed from there.

I’ve done an about turn on this.

After thinking sack Voss at the bye if we lose our next couple im now thinking, **** it just ride it out.

Sometimes for a variety of reasons, sides have crap seasons and go backwards from where they were expected to be, and this year it’s happened to us.

Now I fully expect the rest of the year to be a continuation of turgid dreadful football we have seen all season, but maybe it can be for the greater long term good. We will probably win 2-3 more games max, but what does it matter at this point?

I do think that this season has been a mix of us stuffing up the fitness program spooked by injuries last year, playing group spooked by end of last year and we have tried to implement a new game plan which is more defensive but it looks so dreadfully bad I’m thinking surely what we are seeing can’t be the actual plan.

The playing group have failed in general, so they can realise them playing like shit isn’t going to result in a sugar hit of a new coach.

The part that hurts the most is that with Lyon we would be top 4 and his game style would suit our lack of speed.

What a complete balls up by CFC again.

I think that is largely down to fitness. Saints running out games well, in spite of a fair few injuries they look like they had big pre seasons.

We look like we went softly softly, mix that in with Hewett, Kennedy, Walsh and Cripps all having interrupted pre seasons and I think that is the main difference between us and at kilda.

No balls up by the CFC - it was a well considered and great decision and they must be all congratulated for the courage of their convictions.
Can't consider someone who doesn't apply

l don't believe Voss will be sacked before the end of the season, he will given the remainder of the season, to make the necessary adjustments to the game plan etc and we evaluate at season end.

If significant improvement does not occur he will be under pressure.
Cook doesn't seem the type of person to sack someone this soon etc

They have some gun kids who can hit the scoreboard too like Philppou and esp Mitch Owens (whom I am a big fan of)

We don't, and we need to start looking at the national draft for similar types

'Round and 'round and 'round we spin
To weave a wall to hem us in
It won't be long, it won't be long
How slow and slow and slow it goes
To mend the tear that always shows
It won't be long, it won't be long. (n.young)

I've changed my mind now...

Now I want Voss and Co gone effective immediately... From the match committee...

Picking Ed Curnow every week, pfft... :embarrassedv1:
Its a shame that Ed's career at the club is ending like this where the fans turn against him because we all feel he has no right being in the team.. Its not his fault, he tries his guts out but the simple fact is that he should never have been re contracted at the end of last year.

100% this. I'd read it was because he was great to have around the club...so make him a coach.

It was pretty obvious to most that he shouldn't have been on the list.

If the next two games are doozies should we drop both unceremoniously, we’ll be getting a little close to making the final decision, unpalatable but necessary unfortunately.
A thorough and independent review is urgently needed too.

I have been wondering who the decision maker on Voss is. If it is Brian Cook I dont see him going mid-season but if it is a Board decision I think his time may be up.

It will be Lloyd in conjunction with Sayers and Cook.. Before i coach is knifed there is always an emergency board meeting which fleas like Tom Browne and Jon Ralph are camped outside of so they must all have a vote.
