Well, it's unusual to find someome who dislikes whore noms as much as myself, so of course when you look at BOO and his crusade against whore noms you're going go think something is up.

Believe it or not, (for me) the Billy is actually the least interesting aspect of the song contest, so I'm going to stop getting momentarily caught up in how people vote for that meaningless side of things. Last night, I was briefly melting because I realised I'd given my 4 and 5 to the obvious whore noms which you correctly identified. Oh well. . I love 'Schism' and 'The Pyramid Song'. GAGF

But if people want to punish others for lazy, obvious choices and whore noms, so be it. If MWPP , por_please_ya and GreyCrow want to billy the punk/garage nom every time, that's their right. If others want to auto-billy their most hated band or recoil in disgust from the General's weird avant-garde nom, or pile the billies upon the crap from Harvey Manfrenjensendentenen, I don't care. You'll no longer hear a peep about it from me.

Aside from people's different voting motivations, I think the Billy is a flawed concept because I don't believe in dwelling on hatred & dislike for any music. I either like something, or I move on. People just like what they like. If they don't like something, they don't really listen to it. So who cares what they think about it?

Loving a song and hating a song are actually similar things in a sense: they're emotional responses to a piece of music - as opposed to hearing something and being totally unmoved, thoroughly bored, in one ear and out the other (which are my usual choices for the Billy)
