If you're suggesting what I think you're suggesting, you're missing the point. Slow mellow songs have a time and a place but when you juxtapose them with upbeat or energetic songs they stand out in a bad way. I got 5 votes in a previous round for a Royal Blood song and another nom in the same round got 20+ votes because it was more energetic. And I get that.

I didn't necessarily dislike the song I billied but it was boring.

Each to their own really and I can understand if a more chilled song is chilled to be dull. I just never thought about rating songs in order of how frenetic they are.

I loved it, and any other round it would have got votes, but I had it 6th best song

IIRC I gave a song this round with high energy 6th best which was quite nostalgic for me and I used to play it over and over in the car. I guess my music tastes have changed considerably.

The name gives it away but over the years I've come.to the staggering realisation that over 90% of the people here have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to football or football related matters. I awoke to a beautiful July's sunshine, decked out in brown and gold garb, ready to catch the train into Southern Cross station. Once there, things went downhill rapidly.

Oh, you were after song contest updates? My mistake.

14/26 votes have been submitted and counted. One song has been ahead of the pack early and still remains so, although with lots of votes still to come it is by no means home.
All donuts have been eaten.
Two songs have billy-only votes. One of these is that of the host...if people don't want a sudden back-injury delaying results, I'd strongly advise this it rectified ASAP.
11 songs have been billied - the race is very wide open, with only one song having received multiple thus far.
