Plenty have mended their ways. I hope he can because his behaviour doesn’t match his quality as a player and, by all accounts, his personality off the field
I hope so too. His bowling is really really good but physically bumping the opposition captain no matter how slight almost ensuring he is suspended, then screaming in the face of a batsman he has just comprehensively beaten, says to me he is an immature jerk that needs to wake up to himself.

And I say that about any player in any team

Better tell that to Warne, Starc, Lee etc etc

Huge difference when one is a flog (Starc), the other is a young gun enjoying his cricket :)

Could use some time off to rest those hammys for a series that matters, instead of playing against a minnow side like Australia.
Don't you have school tomorrow, you should be in bed.

South Africans getting much more movement with the ball new or old than we were.

Pitching the ball up and allowing it to do it's thing also helps and we have bowled way to short for most of this match.

Unfortunately, it appears to be the Aussie way. If in doubt, bowl short. Works on hard Aussie wickets, but not always the way to go overseas.

Yep, I've always hated the send off, and I was so pleased to see the ICC make a stand against it several years ago, which leaves me amazed that he is still doing it. Surely the officiating umpires must have some control, it can't all be left up to the Match Referee.

Agree PB, this behaviour is below him, I fear his white line fever is deeply embedded. Don't want it to be the cornerstone of his career but doesn't look good.

Exactly and the reason why McGrath was so good because he was so consistent with his line and length while not being overly fast or express pace etc but he put the ball on the spot every time just about.

We are just so erratic at times and all over the place for big periods of play.

Man of the match in the 1st test and from the cricket I have seen in the past

Rabada is a LOT better.

Honestly if I had to choose between the two it wouldn't be tough choice. Rabada does more against the top order which I hold higher.

They should ban him mid innings from bowling the rest of the match. That’d teach him, have to answer to your teammates for costing a match.

Can the on field umps issue a warning for behaviour?

They can for things like beamers and running on the wicket but send offs? I think it would be a welcome move if they did but I'm genuinely unsure if they have that power.

Thats not a bad idea. Not for Rabada, but umpires should be able to take a bowler out of the attack for bad behaviour
