Wade Chapman? Didn't play in the Sth Melbourne era. Played in 96 grand final and career was cut short by injuries. Was subsequently drafted by Port Adelaide but never made it on to the park

According to Jim Main's book "Plugger and the Mighty Swans", there was another Chapman who lined up for the Swans.

A. Chapman, debuted in 1900 and played 2 games, scored 0 goals. Afraid that's all there is.

I think Wade first played in 1994 and played until 1997. He played 51 games, or something like that.

BTW - Wade played for the Sydney Swans.

Wade Chapman was a terriffic footballer, with great courage - in the Paul Kelly mould. He had a terrible run with injuries, he was particularly prone to serious concussions, such was his determination to get the footy.
