Sounds like both CPL and Mt Wav have been sighted for bringing game into disrepute and CPL coach also sighted for a separate incident.. What is the penalty for bringing game into disrepute?
Can be anything the league wants it to be. Both clubs will/should now have the chance to respond to the investigation report before any final ruling is handed down.

Hang on, your listed teams represent 5x1st Div. 3 x Div 2 and 1x Div3. All offering vastly different levels of football in structured resources for a true choice to be made.

In my area it is Hallam, Lyndale, Dandenong, EH, Sandown, Mount and could nearly throw Ashwood in there - so that is SEVEN teams all in ONE DIVISION. All offering the same choice and all going around and around in circles as players and coaches switch from one to the other. Also by scrapping the bottom of the playing resources they must take any character good or bad in.

Just my opinion

This is why I found it a strange decision by the league when they backed both EH and Hallam to start new senior clubs right next door to each other within a year or two of each other.

Might have been a better option to allow one of them consolidate for a few years. The area is already over populated with clubs when you throw in the stronger (generally speaking) MPNFL and EFL clubs along with the ammos.

I've got no doubt it's tough to entice talented young recruits to your club when your anchored to the bottom of div 3 and don't have the network and resources of a Narre Warren or Rowville.

Don't blame purvis apparently his tattooed eyebrows have faded and city know a couple of studios that will fix em for him... That will pay him up till round 8 or 9 then he will take off again

I wish the league would grow some stones.

It would be the perfect opportunity to rejuvenate both divisions.

Send Mordi and Skye up, send Heatherton and Clayton down if that's the case.
......and should be actively chasing Port Colts to get them to join. Heatherton has had their time and if they stay up another year then the SFL will be the biggest laughing stock in junior football.

Strong indication that Dingley have picked up 3 very promising A grade kids from the VAFA.
This could be the difference for next year!

Has anyone got wind of Chelt potentially picking up Hayden Jeans & Brett Denton from St.Bedes Mentone Tigers in the Vafa after them being demoted from the top grade.. They went hard at them last year, but apparently this could be the year they jump ship?

More than likely Pieman. Cheltenham love to pillage the VAFA each year, rather than develop their own stars like successful SFL clubs such as Dingley, St Pauls and East Brighton.

Word on the street is Hayden Jeans has had surgery post season?
Is he worth the risk?

Surely this is a pisstake post?!

Care to explain who and when other than Rowlands (cousin of Chris Graham) and Pat Nicholls (brother played at Chelt juniors)...???

And EB developing their own stars?? Even Hilly and batfink would have a chuckle at that!

For the sake of balance – Peter Jeanes (Hayden’s old man) played a few hundred games the Rosellas. Born and bred Cheltenham boy so not surprised if makes the move. Will he younger brother go to? He looks a very handy type.

Pieman - On another forum you are saying that St Bedes picking up SFL players – swings and roundabouts !

(But Superfreak surely you are not claiming Chelt Panters as a junior arm of your club?)

Couple of dingley boys could be making the move to St.Bedes is what ive heard, handy types that find southern footy a little bit too tough.

Tim Jeans the younger brother of hayden has quit footy all together from what ive heard. Was dragged back to play a couple games of the end of the year due to numerous injuries at St.Bedes but with work commitments have got in the way of this young talent.

Would be kidding yourself if you think that the above comment by Ammofootball was taking the 'piss' - they do indeed do exactly what was said above.
It was slightly in jest. They do have a number of players with an VAFA background though:
Graham (Beaumaris)
Nicholls (St Bedes)
Rowlands (St Bedes)
Collins (St Bedes)
Cochrane (Old Mentone)

I suppose most of them are locals to the Chelt area though so it is just the nature of the beast.

Tenuous link Rooster 24!! ;)

There is no official link but the vast majority of our players have come through CJFC.
There can be no doubt as to the commitment that Chelt have to the junior pathway, they started it way back probably 7 years ago with 2 teams in the Colts comp under the stewardship of the great Phil Sparrow. Nothing has changed with regards the commitment they have to grow their own so to speak.

Not sure we are talking about the same thing here. Not questioning Chelt Rosellas efforts to make the SFL colts viable and they certainly made a strong commitment in the early days. But through no fault of their own their participation has ebbed and flowed. From memory a few times they were unable to field a team. Don’t profess to know much about them but they seem like a pretty good club to me who like others are trying to compete with the high volume of other clubs in close proximity.

Chelt Panthers are an entirely different club. Juniors only, play at Le Page Park, different jumpers and even a different council area. Going way back I seem to recall they were a merger of 2 other Cheltenham based junior clubs (St Francis and Chelt Assumption?)
Not disputing that many end up at the Rosellas but the panthers do not have an alignment with any senior clubs in particular. Would suggest that just as many, if not more of their juniors end up at St Bedes and Beaumaris.
