That's it I'm finished. Been a supporter for 55 years and a member for over 10. My membership goes back on Monday morning and they can shove it where the want to. I more weak, insipid and spineless bunch of no good hacks has not been seen wearing a blue jumper in 100 years. Even in the darkest days of 2002-2005, players with lesser ability at least had a go. This bunch are nothing but weak gutted pretenders. They have a go at Essendon for not putting in this mob tonight were too lazy to even chase their own shadow. What this means for Ratten who knows. But, if he couldn't get the team up against a bunch of kids then where does that leave him.

I just can't be bothered with Carlton anymore.

Good riddance I say

Blame Ratten all you want. It's the players' fault for that performance.

Terrible kicking, terrible decision making, lack of effort from a few prime players. We are the most complacent side in the AFL. Our lack of mental strength is embarrassing. Ratten has a responsibility in instilling a professional attitude in the playing group, but you can only take a horse to water...

The "effort" tonight was a disgrace to the jumper. There is no other way of saying it. Every past player of our football club has a right to feel sick seeing their club dish up a performance like that.

Inexcusable.

What a sad night for footy and CFC.

Really hope your club goes in the right direction after this. What do y'all think will happen to Ratts?

WARNING TO OPPOSITION POSTERS TROLLING THIS THREAD OR ANY OTHER THREAD ON OUR BOARD.

If you value your account and don't want to lose it for 1 week, it's pretty simple DON'T TROLL.

I will not be shy in handing out cards.

Our Board and you play by our rules !!!!!!

Such an important game for the Club's supporters. So much belief and trust lost and then won back and then to thrown out the door by the players. So much revealed about the playing group. A turning point for the Club this game and this result. A bunch of bolded questions underlined and circled already now in the season review folder in every Board Member's in box.

Well I didn't expect that result! :( Sorry we couldn't help you guys out with your finals campaign. This one you had to win on your own, unfortunately. I didn't see the game, why were the Blues so inaccurate in front of goal? Long shots at 50m? Difficult angles?

Shots from the pockets courtesy of our year long habit, as well as shots from serial offenders Casboult and Waite!

Not here to troll, but the one big problem out of tonight was the disposal efficiency. Blokes like Murphy, who used the ball at 58% for example... you just expect better and especially against a developing team like Gold Coast who were attacking all night. That's the most disappointing thing from the perspective of any team that anyone follows - you expect your best players to use the ball well and having an off night on an important night like this could very well have massive ramifications for many at the club.

I hope Ratten doesn't get the sack, he probably would given the circumstances, but this isn't his fault. No way. The players were slack, their disposal efficiency was absolutely poor and unacceptable and the players acted as if they didn't give a ****. Making the coach the scapegoat would be so disappointing.

That's all, I don't want to intrude too much, just keep the faith and I'm sure you guys will turn the corner and rebound from this bad loss. :thumbsu: Going to be hard to recover for many diehards but stick by them.

All the best, feel sorry for poor McInnes as well, hate it when a young player who's just made his way into a good team (they are good. No matter what the result tonight - I think they have a really good best 22) gets injured in the fashion he did. :(

Not here to troll. I feel genuinely sorry for you blokes. The feeling when the Tigs lost to GC after the siren was unbelievably gutting, and one of the worst feelings I've had in my lifetime. Most of you will struggle to sleep tonight and wake up angry tomorrow morning. My entire week was awful and I did a media blackout. You will find yourself not being able to take your mind away from football.

I dont wish this on anyone. It absolutely sucks. I hope to see you blokes rebound next week V the saints.

i know what you are saying, but i did laugh at that part
