Girls in the DQ household spent most of the 2nd half determining who “the cutest Swan is”.

Drove me up the wall, but for those interested, the results are in:

1. Errol
2. Rowy
3. Some snowboarding guy in the crowd
4. Heeeny
5. McI
Florent stiff IMO.

Parker and Mills down.
Two injuries.
Away from home against a team who's season was on the line and has potential for brilliant football.

That was a great win under pressure, our last quarters are concerning yes, but our transition play and movement up forward was what set that match up.

Had some good performances.

Papley - great game, few weird moments, but never stops.
Amartey - Keep it up, great game, had an impact in the ruck as well.
Gulden - BOG for me, yes his great by foot, but it's his movement and getting on the end of chains that makes him invaluable to us, his always there providing a get out option.
Logan - had six score involvements, some important marks, a great goal in the third and one which was unlucky to be touched (not sure why some people was saying was bad today).
McLean - Gets beat in the hitout but contributes around the ground and outs on pressure, I like him in his current role.
McInerney - Found his confidence again, running on top of the ground, had some huge moments up in defence in the last.
Llyod - Good game, yet again. Doesn't make many mistakes, is always there and has become solid one on one.
Campbell - Continued his development, made a few mistakes today but is finding the ball (addressing some of this boards fears), had a huge defensive moment in the last saving a certain goal.
Warner - Finding his form, nodes well for the end of the season.

I will take it, let's go next week.

On Parker
Maybe he was tagged
Maybe he had a corkie/or worn down from his Herculean BOG effort last week.
Maybe he had a cold.
Or just one of those days...

Honestly the disrespect on him from some here whenever he's not lighting it up is utterly ridiculous.
Club champion and legend.
Yeah he's earned an off game

Maybe , yes he is never ever that poor

But it's just another time when it's a big loud crowd and sydney up against it and he is a shadow of himself

like big finals

I'm talking difference between a good player and a star

but i'll shut up , not meaning to disrespect him

Nah mate he’s shameful. Embarrassing. Lazy. Pathetic. Etc. etc.

Couldn't go sadly tonight :(

Warner still had 3 tackles and a fair few contested possessions, think his ok in defence, just not his strong suit.

no one forward late when gulden needed a target

horse defends way too much in close ones

no doubt we clammed up the last 10 minutes or so, and really seemed to hit a wall when they got to within nine ...
i thought we were gone and i'm still a bit numb at the fact we hung on ...
there were a few really big individual moments ...
mcinerney, cunningham, florent, mcdonald, mclean, wicks, amartey ... would have to check replay but from memory they all made key plays
some important marks and great tackles, some really crucial, strong tackles!
four weeks ago we'd have lost that game, tonight we were clearly better for three quarters ... with several players well down ...
whether it was the injuries, or just that essendon kept coming, but i'm not gonna be too harsh ...
that was a big win, we're alive and kicking ...
and i'm happy to be taking on the giants with them at seven in a row ... they're due a loss, so we can arrange that for them

Given the stage of the season and what was on the line, that was jmacs best game of his career. He was immense and had some massive moments
His last month has included his best 2 career games.
