I'd bring Amartey back through the VFL and manage him. Keen as I am to get another of the young forwards brigade into the side, I'm more keen on him not being underdone and risking re-injury.
You can get injured in the vfl…

You can but surely a day game where you could even give him 3/4 before a rest in the last is a better idea. Was a significant soft tissue injury let him get through a match.

Look they may play him but personally I’d rather go through the VFL for a game first. That said not across how much training he’s done in this break (especially last two weeks)

Didn't have a pre-season, came in and went whack against the Hawks.

Look he’s have my support I just hope we know what we are doing. If this was a day game I’d be more onboard. Cold weather at night is hardly what you want first up

i Feel if he is ready slot him in, if He re injures he re injures….easing him thru the ressies, with that team, potentially puts him at more risk

Whatever the club decides is fine, personally I do feel a night game is more risk that I’d take however whatever they decide is fine

Swans website says Armatey “will be assessed for a return to match play this weekend”.

We are playing Thursday, not this weekend - so I’d assume he’ll play VFL.

The statement on the Swans website seems to contradict the story on the AFL website.

Rampe, conversely, is said to be “available for selection against St Kilda”.

Not ideal that neither McAndrew or Hickey can run out games. McAndrew 40% TOG and Hickey Q4 fumbles 2 weeks ago could've cost the game.

Id prefer keeping McAndrew in if he can actually play a significant chunk of the game

In other critical news, caught the bus into work this morning and who should hop on at Johnstone St Annandale around 6.00? - Dean Cox. Wearing training shorts too the mad bastard!

I took it as an omen for a 6-goal victory on Thursday.

I prefer the weather to be a surprise
Are you going to the SCG? Having braved some very nasty surprise storms at the SCG I know, I would prefer to know if I am going so I can put my wet weather's on if needed. What's more a horribly miserable rain sideways night gets horribly cold with the wind blowing from the Blue Mountains.
