Tex is perfectly free to chat away to the media and let everyone know exactly what he said but I don't think he willWe won’t ever know

Agreed, I don’t see what benefit could come from him fronting the media. He’s hurt people, and I doubt those people really want to see or hear from him.I'm disgusted by Tex, I'm also disgusted by these ******* media rats wanking themselves into a frenzy for him to "front the media".
To me it appears that some of them are not going to be satisfied until Tex comes under some sort of physical harm either by himself or others at this point.
Tex has said enough at this point, I don't want or need to hear from him for some time. He's caused damage, he needs to atone for his sins and meaningless press conferences do nothing .
Very impressed with Robbie Young appearing in the video. It takes character to accept another person's apology in public in matters like this
Optus considering sponsorship with us over handling of Tex comments.
He would someone who would do more than he needs. Dominate more money and spend more time in indigenous communities. It’s a pity of COVID as it would good if he went into an indigenous communities as part of his penalty. The AFC will expect him to build trust and respect. But the only person who is responsible for achieving it is Tex.
I don't know Tex but my impression is that he won't shy away from his responsibilities. I think we'll see what he's made of. But it's up to him.
P.s. the apology video including the victim is a good first step.
I didn't see anyone standing there with a gun trained on them?
Where'd you see this?Optus considering sponsorship with us over handling of Tex comments.

So their issue is not with the racism, but how the club handled it?
Looking for new headlines… Behind closed doors everyone is supporting Tex in there own way despite being hurt by his comments. The media are driving a narrative that no one likes him and trying to drive him out of the AFL.******* journalists trying to start something, what is to be gained by going to club sponsors?

That’s what the media reporting. If you listen to radio coverage you’ll find out more then reading print media garbage. Tex has reputation for being generous with his time and will go out of his way to help disadvantaged people.Wrong. Most people think he’s a long time kwon and deserves everything he’s copping now.

Real heroes exist everywhere. Sport just happens to be an environment where victory often accompanies heroism. Through the high profile of sport, the participants are easily recognised and we often show adulation for the sportsperson who is victorious or has displayed remarkable effort without victory. On the field, Tex is one of these heroes. The rascist remark was directed at Young but the offended party was the official. Whether Young heard it or not is irrelevant. Apparently the official was indigenous who heard the comment and was offended. It wouldn't have mattered to the official whether it was directed at them or not. The person Walker should chiefly be apologising to is the official who unfortunately through no fault of their own had to hear that rubbish. He should also be apologising to Young who it was directed at but the official is the one who suffered the most harm by hearing it. There has not been a lot of focus on this party I guess due to the party wanting to remain anonymous. I don't know where a grown man gets off shouting rascist remarks in front of the public and kids. Kids should never hold up sporting idols as heroes. The real heroes generally aren't on the sporting field.
I don't care. They walk for what reason? The minute they walk the Crows will get a new sponsor. They are paying for an ad on the jumper. They shouldn't get a say. If they want to tell the club how to act on an issue then I'd expect the club to say here is your cheque see you later. Port told Scott to butt out in the early years too. He thought he'd bought a say. That's the problem with some sponsors. They think they can purchase a voice.Sponsor Optus looking at Crows’ handling of Walker issue

Optus are in discussions about their sponsorship with Adelaide over the Crows’ handling of the Taylor Walker racism storm.
The telco giant, who signed a four-year deal in early 2019 to become a principal partner of the club, on Tuesday issued a brief statement to The Age when asked about Walker’s racial slur of North Adelaide player Robbie Young - for which the former captain was suspended for six matches and fined $20,000. Optus stopped short of endorsing the manner in which the incident had been treated.
